C'mon, Spidey 2 was the best of the original Sony-led movies. We know sequels are always better.

This is the first time I've ever heard someone claim 2 is the worst. I mean, you're free to have your opinion, but I don't understand it at all. The train fight is still possibly the best big-screen superhero brawl of all time, and the hospital sequence is proof that if anyone can pull off the PG-13 horror film that Dr. Strange 2 supposedly is, it's Raimi. The movie also has the best emotional beats in the trilogy, the best jokes, etc.

 

I'll gladly explain it. The hospital sequence was terrifying to kids the first time they saw it (which felt a tad out of place after the first film) but it was a pretty good scene. The train sequence was good, the special effects were top-notch. The rest of the film kind of meanders a bit going from action sequence to story to action, etc. I'm glad M.J. got to see why Peter couldn't tell her he loved her, etc. I thought Alfred Molina was fantastic (I'd love to see more of his work. Shame he doesn't get more big roles such as that one.) I just found it kind of boring in a lot of places. I don't hate the movie, not at all, just kind of meh in my book. That said, the Director's Cut does help the film a little bit.

To be clear, though, I basically said it didn't measure up to the first film. I didn't say it was the absolute worst. 3 has serious issues and killed the franchise. I'm not crazy. lol

 

I was admittedly confused, given that all you said about 3 the first line was that "it was good," and immediately followed with your criticisms of 2. (I also missed what you said about 3 later in the post, so that one's on me entirely.)

Honestly I feel like their just stuffing wayyyyyyyyy too many factions, I just want to enjoy a simple transformers movie please dont let me down.

Sometimes even a trailer can be slightly misleading since some footage from it may not be in the final film. It’s a common practice in Hollywood.

Idk Mirage besides the fact he turns invisible, was a F1 on G1 and "was" Dino in dotm, so does he fit into Crosshairs typo?
