Commander class Devcon is the right of all sentient beings.

 

I did that last year. Never quite finished it.

Ransack might turn into a biplane in the novelization/early version of the script, but the toy Hasbro released was based off of concept art for a Model T. Thats where his weird engine block head comes from.

 

That toy, which most recognize as Ransack, also turns into a Bi-plane. I imagine it'll be that if he gets one

 

The only reason I think Scorn could be a Commander is because he's slightly taller than Grimlock, and Grimlock was one of the largest Leader Class figures in 2018 and that pricepoint has only seen its figures shrink since then. AOE Grimlock probably would not be able to be a Leader in 2022/2023, and if Scorn is supposed to be as big or bigger, then Commander could make sense.

Either way, an upscaled TLK Scorn with a Grimlock-like deco would be absolutely, totally fine for SS Scorn. Whether that justifies Commander price is iffy, but that figure was totally CGI accurate, he was just incorrect in colors and scale.

The only other options I see for Commander for on-screen characters are:
- Devcon
- The Fallen (would have to be very complex and come with several accessories)
- Infernocus
- Junkheap 3-pack
- Here's an outlandish one: DOTM Bumblebee with the Decepticon ship he piloted

 

We still get large Leader Class figures. Take 86 Grimlock and Slug, and we still have Sludge and Snarl in the horizon, so Scorn as a Leader wouldn't be out of the question

 

That's true, but 86 Grimlock and Slug are the largest ones we've gotten in years and are still significantly shorter than AOE Grimlock:

This is why I want a commander Devcon. I don’t want just another overpriced leader class figure who could have easily been in the $50 range if Hasbro wasn’t being cheap. Devcon can actually use the budget to be big and not yet another bipedal figure who’s small and comes with random shit to fill the box. Plus Hasbro has stated their budgets are through waves rather than per figure, so why not just release some easy repaints and then give most of the budget to a leader scorn who matches up with grimlock?

 

Upscaled versions of the AOE Slug and Strafe toys would be fine as well. Frankly, Grimlock was the only of the four that needed an entirely new mold.

 

Not sure if I can stretch to 5   but:

- Cybertronian Bee with like a Glyph deco or something. I don't really care who, I just want one to form a trio with Cliffjumper and B-127  
- Concept/Animatic inspired Arcee Triplets. There's a variety of other coloured bikes seen in concept art and the animatic but I'd probably go with Green, Orange and... White? Yellow? Not too sure. As for names probably raid the female Autobots so like Moonracer or Greenlight, Lancer and... Override? I dunno.
- Traditional Seeker trio deco for Blitzwing would be fun. As would G1 Blitzwing coloured Seeker Blitzwing  
- Trailer gold and silver colourscheme Sentinel Prime?
- More random trailer/early concept colourschemes? I dunno  

 

Seeker repaints from Blitzwing would be dangerous for me, a Seeker addict lol. Good ideas tho. Making toys from the concept art would be cool.

Since Bumbleverse Blitzwing, Dropkick, and Shatter are probably 100% dead to never reappear, reusing them won't conflict with any future canon appearances... why not retool the rumored upcoming triplechanger Legacy/SS86 G1 Blitzwing into Movieverse/SS Blitzwing? Doesn't matter whether the 'Cons recover him and rebuild him, or it's Sector7/generic government skunkworks project that does it. But when Blitzwing is rebuilt into 2.0, they have to incorporate Shatter and Dropkick into him too, so he ends up with three distinct personalities, complete with the Animated-inspired rotating faces.

 

Yeah, multiple people have had a similar idea. Like, it's too perfect that Blitzwing and two other bots, who are both triple changers, all ended up together on Earth and got scrapped by Bumblebee. I could totally see them getting rebuilt into a more classic Blitzwing and going after Bumblebee for revenge.

 

Handy thing is, Blitzwing is only ever named such in the credits (in fact, I think it's something weird like only Ravage, Optimus, Bumblebee and Cliffjumper are ever actually named in dialogue?) so they could easily have a more traditional Blitzwing appear later and say the guy in BB is just some random Seeker. In my collection headcanon I have him as a separate bot just called Blitz ^^
It's kinda like the infamous 'Devastator' thing in TF 2007's subtitles referring to the tank guy (Onslaught?) but they still had a version of the Combiner appear later.

As for rebuilding stuff, fun idea! An idea I've had for a hypothetical shared Hasbroverse kicked off of Bumblebee, when there was talk of a MASK movie my idea is that MASK's vehicles would be reverse engineered from stuff salvaged from Shatter, Dropkick and Blitzwing and probably Cena's character would have a hand in it's founding  

 

Which ones do you want to see and how do you think they will or should be done?

For me, it's DOTM Bumblebee, Evasion mode Optimus, and Hound.

DotM Bee obviously should be a slight retool of the SS49/SS74 mold and hopefully he'll come with an unmasked headsculpt and maybe his shoulder cannons.

Evasion Prime can honestly be the same mold from the AOE line, but with some improvements such as bending elbows and a better paintjob.

Hound should be Leader class so that he gets very complex engineering for his transformation, and also so that he can have loads of weapon accessories like he did in the films. He should also come with AOE Brains.

 

An entire line for predacons rising

 

Trench. Shared engineering and some shared parts with Scrapper, but new transformation and the like to accommodate their new proportions.
I don't have any attachment to the character, I would just find having a toy for them REALLY funny.

I never understood the desire for Predacons Rising stuff, but if we're going there, the Beast Wars II movie received an actual theatrical release, and it'd be a great excuse for more beast updates, too.

 

Devcon does need a toy though, preferably a Commander class or at least a Leader.

 

An idea I've always had for the Studio Series is to release voyager-sized figures of the generic Decepticon protoforms that appeared during the battle of Chicago, that transform into the various attack ships we see in DOTM.

Obviously they won’t be able to scale in alt mode with other SS figures, but I’m a big fan of the look of the DOTM Cybertronian spacecraft, and this would be a good way for us to get those designs in toy form, as well as alt mode-less protoforms that otherwise may not get an SS release.
