So this is interesting. According to the screenshot it looks like you only need to buy 4 figures to build the BaF?
Ok, so I guess we won’t see promo pics on Toyark today? Anyway, this was a nice livestream, and I’m liking a lot of what was shown. I think my biggest disappointment is T’Challa, as he seems to be the only figure in the wave that has a drastically stylized look. Nebula is also a bit of an odd ball, but it’s a new look I guess. Something tells me she’s gonna be related to whatever is going on with Gamora in the Thanos armor. Kinda wish Sylvie wasn’t tacked on to the wave and took up a spot for another What If design, but I’m glad to add her with the variant Loki. Captain Carter, Dr. Strange, Zombie Cap, and Zombie Hunter Spider-Man look really good, and save the wave for me. The watcher was a nice surprise, so I can’t really complain. Definitely excited for the Hydra Buster, and it’s super cool that Carter can actually use the handles on it. Need to get that Vulture since I wasn’t collecting when he came out originally. They teased that the stretch goals would be able to interact with Galactus, so something tells me we might actually get a magnet in the hand for Surfer.
Not really interested in 90 percent of the stuff announced since it’s what if, but I may be trying to get that Uatu if it reasonably matches my collection. No joke, that’s been all the targets in the Boston area since March . Other than like 20 Aquafinas per store. I don’t know if they just aren’t getting stock, but it’s empty and stays empty.
no, just more MCU ANIMATED crap! honestly, I do feel a bit letdown by the animated styling...thought they would be more realistic, but, as with the Spiderverse series, it does make sense to lean towards the source materiel... and maybe zombie Cap would be too much to do in realistic style (he's already probably pushing the limits)...that Hydra armor figure looks great...Uatu isn't half bad either but since his race has shown up in live-action, again I wished they leaned more towards the true MCU look... seems odd they didn't include Keaton likeness with reissued Vulture though...perhaps they will have a future figure Spoiler if rumors he is reprising his role are correct
Am I going blind? T'Challa has the head Nebula has the cape Carter has the arms Sylvie has the cloak Where's the torso?
So far, I'm only 100% in on Spidey, Sylvie, Strange, Tigra and Vulture. I might consider Captain Carter just because she looks really good and actually looks enough like Hayley Atwell to fit in with other MCU stuff. Spoiler There are rumors she may be in Multiverse of Madness, but if that's true, I have to imagine she'd be repainted for that.
I just don't have an interest in figures related to the MCU. I want comic based ones and outside of Binary, there wasn't a single comic based figure revealed.
Spoiler She'd probably also get a new head since the one in the What If? wave does look close to the actress it's still obviously stylized. Tigra was revealed.
I wouldn't mind a few watchers because I kind of want to set up a scene like this, but this baf isn't really accurate to the movie ones. And the select is certainly comic inspired.
Oddly enough I got into this collection because I liked their MCU figures but the more I collected the more I realized that, as much as I love the MCU, I just didn't need figures of them like I needed 616 figures. The MCU just doesn't mean as much to me as 616 does.
Not super hot on most of the line but Hydra Stomper looks phenomenal. Hopefully the rocket exhaust pieces can plug into the weapons
Doesn’t help that some of the MCU figures tend to age a lot quicker by comparison. However with MCU Legends it definitely pays off to wait. One could’ve completely skipped all 6” Legends Iron Man figures from the Iron Man movie trilogy(from 2008 up until this year) since better ones are coming now through the MCU Legends Infinity Saga series. I think it’s only a matter of time before we get new versions of Iron Man mk II/IV-VI, War Machine and unarmored/unarmored versions of Whiplash.
As much as I love the movies, I don't care about having figures from the movies. I only collect the figures from my top favorite comic runs, so I really prefer to have figures that resemble those runs. I'm not saying Spider-Man has to be designed the exact way Ditko or Romita Sr drew him, I would just like the details to match up with those like the spider emblem on the chest having the M-like arms as opposed to the U and upside down U Hasbro has been using on every Spidey figure. For X-Men, except for Banshee, they've gotten a Wolverine, Storm, Colossus, Nightcrawler, Cyclops, and Phoenix that matches up to Claremont's original line up. Not to mention Thunderbird and Sunfire. As such, I'm good on my X-Men heroes sans Banshee. Any other eras, like Jim Lee's stuff, or from the later portions post-Dark Phoenix, are a bonus, but they aren't "Must Owns" in my book. Like if Hasbro were to release an Outback X-Men box set, I'll buy it. However, if they don't release the Outback version, I'm cool with that too as I've gotten 95% of my preferred versions.
