How soon should we see pricing & preorders?

 

Shows up first on eBay before going to other sites. TFSafari just listed and usually has the cheapest prices. $26 for the transport vehicle, $12 for the LED.

 

Cool, but I really want a new pair of hands for this guy.......cuz I hates em! I hates em forever!

 

I'm still hoping someone's gonna make a cover for the middle back to make a 5th thruster cone or whatever it's called.

 

Hasbro dropped the ball but a display stand does not fit in with the smaller titans. I am glad this is 26usd shipped from tfsafari i expect similar from unclebillyshop incase they run out of stock.

 

This ark transport is a neat idea. Tempting to get.

 

Still waiting on the upgrade kit for this giving us the Autobot shuttle from Beast Wars/Machines

 

Too bad there aren't any 5mm ports on this guy.

It has arrived today and I have tried with the CR927 battery and the head led does not work ... I have asked for another unit ... if someone has it and has tried it working ...

 

Hopefully we see a "Hands & Fillers" kit from DNA and they don't make 3(!) kits out of the two things we actually want.

 

Bought on eBay for $35.59 w/o tax, free delivery

Side note: This was the fastest delivery I’ve gotten from China, 14 days, along with a few other items. I’ve gotten a delivery maybe at 21 days before, but usually it’s 4-6 weeks (worth it usually).

First impressions, I like the weight, the tires are rubber, and most importantly the Ark snaps into the base and feels more secure than I expected.

The Ark can also swivel around 360° and this was a nice surprise. Again, this feels very secure when locked in.

So glad I got it. When I first tried out the base, I immediately put an order in for the wing gaps.

Which gaps filler you plan to get?

 

Not sure if this is a Shockwave Lab product, but it’s sold by the same China distributor that I purchase from.

It’s a little pricey I think like $50 for just the wings and for like $12 more dollars you gets the light up eyes and something else which I’m not interested in, but like I said it was only $12 more dollars.

The eBay post also mentions the wings are still in early production and will not ship as fast, so I’ll post photos when they arrive.

Sooooo...

I got one of the shuttle transports, as I WILL be getting an Ark, and thought it will be a cool display option. And it is cool, and looks VERY well put together. Almost TOO good. Scrutinizing it a bit, I noticed that the only parts that looked 3D printed were the part that cradles the Ark, and a small bit on the bottom.



Everything else is very smooth, injection molding plastic.

It looked like the bit on the bottom was just glued on, and I figured I can glue it back on, so I popped it off. Underneath was a blob of melted plastic covering THE ORIGINAL COPYRIGHT STAMP OF THE ORIGINAL MANUFACTURER. In my pic you can see the only bit still visible of the stamp, the ® in the top right corner of the rectangular indent.


I don't mind it being a repurposed toy. I think it matches the aesthetic of the Ark toy perfectly.

I am curious what it's original use was, though. Does anyone recognize this crawler from another toy space set? Because it's clear to me that this was originally something else.

 

Wow, that's super interesting. I'm more than curious to know more about this. Hopefully someone can shed more light on the subject.

 

Good find! I wonder if this was originally a toy construction vehicle (tonka?) And they removed the cab section.

Hooray! I was scouring the internet all day, after scraping off the plastic blob and finding out the manufacturer is "Delectation". Thank you @ziltama! That was bugging me.  

Edit: It does really make me wonder how this project came about, though. Did they buy up unsold product from a wholesaler, and remove the crane portion from each one? And paint the legs? I guess the wheel covers are new, too.
