I believe the point is that if you want a 100% screen accurate Cheetor with his gut gun - that’s what the MP line is for. Many of the Transformers figures in main CHUG line are missing a weapon or accessory. For example Kingdom Mirage with no shoulder canon.
Because it’s lame as fuck to release a toy of a character who always had a gun in season without a gun? They gave Rattrap a gun, they gave Blackarachnia a gun, etc. Everyone in Kingdom so far has their weapons except for Cheetor. He’s an obvious glaring exception and saying it’s not us disingenuous. Even his RED figure came with a gun. Saying people want 100% screen accuracy just because they want a character who always had a gun in that body to have a gun is also pretty petty. People just want a decent representation of a character that functions as expected.
Universe Cheetor didn't have a gun, so there goes you claim of "a character who always had a gun in that body". Honestly I'm not being petty, but this thread really isn't the place for that conversation, it's a thread about the Tigatron figure, not for complaints about Cheetor.
MP fills a completely different role than CHUG (display pieces, not fun to play with or transform, etc). I'm not gonna stop wanting the correct weapons in CHUG just because MP exists.
I mean, good for Tigatron that people are overall happy enough with him so as to not require further discussion.
Universe Cheetor wasn’t in the show now, was he? Plus that toy isn’t exactly popular. Are you then not displeased that Kingdom Cheetor doesn’t have shuriken if his lack of gun is indeed some obtuse reference to a version of a character no one particularly likes and not just an omission due to lack of budget? It is petty because it’s very obvious that Cheetor should have had his main weapon. Everyone else does. He’s clearly meant to be based off the original Cheetor, who had a gun, and 99% of people who buy him do so because he’s that character. Claiming it’s because of some loophole is completely disingenuous and a bad faith argument, because you and I both know that’s not why he wasn’t given his gun.
I don't care and you can ignore me if you think it's petty. This isn't the thread to complain about Cheetor.
For me it’d be the tail, which I’d vastly prefer to have fold onto the back rather than just become a hand-held tail, as well as the patches of pigmented fur. I get that it’s an attempt to look realistic, but in random splotches like that it just looks more like the figure’s been left outside for ten years. Pretty much everything else looks perfect to me.
You'd have to completely redo his tiger stripes. Those look like tampos, so they're gonna come off long before that cream paint does.

Who cares about this shit; it’s 2021 and this is a $20 tight-on-the-budget Generations update to the original toy. Besides, we’ve got the 3P gapfilling fiends to cover the rest of the ground when it comes to ‘accuracy’ and what not.
Earthrise Megatron: Comes with Fusion Cannon Earthrise Starscream: Comes with Null-Rays Earthrise/Kingdom Optimus Prime: Comes with Ion Blaster WFC Soundwave: Comes with Concussion Blaster and Shoulder Cannon Kingdom Galvatron: Comes with Particle Beam Cannon Etc, Etc, Etc... If you don't think Cheetor's Gut-Gun is as intrinsically linked to his Season 1 design as the characters and their weapons listed above, you're just plain wrong.
I definitely don’t think that Cheetor’s gun is as intrinsic/iconic as Megatron’s fusion cannon. It’s a cool gun and I wish he had it (I’ve bought a 3P option), but that comparison seems like a stretch.
I’m so looking forward to seeing the Golden Disk version. This guy looks great, but I think the mold is really going to pop in orange, assuming rumours are correct.
Brian Goldner's children are LITERALLY eating packing peanuts just to survive, don't you guys know deluxes break even if they're lucky? There's no profit margin whatsoever. Giving Cheetor an extra piece of plastic would have put Hasbro in the red for a decade at least. Tigatron looks better every time I see him, an unqualified success. Definite Ross pickup.
