I honestly don't like and get the love of the Beast Gorilla there but yeah, sticking with TransArt

 

Because I think the show accurate Optimal Optimus is Primal's lamest body.

Beast Gorira takes the concept of Optimal Optimus and in my opinion fixes it to be a much more powerful and aesthetically-pleasing form, and with the "Nemesis"/S1 repaint it gets a far more cohesive color scheme.

 

I'll certainly be willing to take one of those primal primes off your hands if you're really looking to let some of them go.

 

The fact we never got a BW Megatron face with it and presumably the KO is a crime.

It's so weird.

I'd prefer a 28cm version of this one, and the standard sized version of the PE one. But it's hard to find a PE v2 at a good price. I wonder if the OSKO will push some of those out...but then how can you tell a v1 from a v2 anyway?

 

I did a comparison a long time ago. It is very hard to tell unless side by side. But I believe that the V2 has a more vibrant orange. That's it... and you will only notice if side by side. Otherwise V2 has the waist ratchet.

 

And that's what I would be after. If I can't guarantee it, I'd just pass like I've been doing.

 

Pity they aren’t coming out with Transmetal Rattrap or Megatron first. Especially with multiple other 3rd-party Optimals out there.

The only near-official information I can find (albeit without any citation) has the height difference nowhere near that substantial. According to that, TM2 Megatron is 11.5m (~37'8.8") against Optimal Optimus' 12m (~39'4.4"). If we assume Winged Dragon is the 30cm (11.8") I see him listed as frequently (again, mine is not available to measure) then the appropriate scale would have to have OpOp at 31.3cm (12.3").

Though I still question whether OpOp was the taller one at all, though. There's no scenes in the series with them standing in a good place to compare (hell, there was only four episodes to even try) but every time they're on screen together it always looked like Megs was half to a head taller.

 

In my head-canon, Megs is taller than OpOp. That way, it would look like the odds are stacked against the Big Boss. -- "It is the way."

 

Personally I do think it's quite match now. Maybe a hair difference.

Given the uproar on Weibo, I REALLY hope that TransArt alters the size of this, or at least take it out of their BWM line since it's not in scale with the previous ones.
