Less obvious for me. But I do see it if pointed out. Such as Burnin’s hair. It’s completely static when it’s supposed to be in motion because it’s fire. Apparently Endeavor’s flame are CGI… I heard someone say. Obviously not enough left in the tank for the extra bit of animation. Cause her hair is in full motion in shots of her in the new movie. A lot people have pointed out the lack of movement in the new intro. The animation has looked great this season so far when it’s absolutely counted. That’s fine by me. The team has been working their asses off between this and the new movie. If they even manage to pull of MVA, I’ll tip my hat to them. And they’ll take a well deserved break. But there is a lot of action in this arc, so it’s understandable to be nervous. BUT, next year in season 6, they’re going to need the whole team. Cause that whole season probably is going to need all hands on deck. Plus I cannot see how another movie could fit into all of that. There’s simply no place for it, no need for it cause this is practically a movie in and of itself.
Finally watching ahead of Adult Swim airings. At the holiday episode. Spoiler: Spoilers Dear god I love how dense Todoroki is sometimes. From the fertilizer bit with Gang Orca to this interview his obliviousness is comedy gold. "You flash those pearly whites and the ladies will drop dead if you know what I mean.." "If I smile they will die?" Between him and Bakugo they are comedy gold.
This just in for the anime, episode 104 is going to be a filler episode focusing on Uraraka, Tsu, and Nejire. Leaves only eight episodes for MVA now…
Also in the realm of manga. Spoiler Despite his entire class having now found him, Deku says what’s he’s been constantly stating lately that he’s fine and that he doesn’t need help. He goes to leave, 1A stands in his way. He tells them to move, they say “Make us.” His stubborn streak has honestly worn on me long enough. It’s time for a reality check. 1A, show us how much you’ve grown, and kick his ass.
No new dub episode today, so it’s back to two behind. As for the new overall episode, which is filler, it features setup for the new movie.
Apparently in the world of Reddit, the divide between the anime-only’s and manga readers is really showing. While the formers remain excited for what to come, the latters are just frothing at the mouth due to the changes made this season. Ratings for this season have really sky dropped apparently. I mean today’s new episode really laid it on heavy with the flashbacks… practically half the episode. Stuff that could’ve been put towards wrapping the EA arc this episode(which appears to be happening next week). MVA’s adaptation is really going to make or break things…
Really feels like since we got only 8 episodes after next week's left, with how the writing has been, we'll just get the beginning of MVA and habe the status quo change and the PLF War next season.
Which I fully expected, the PLW is a full season worth of content. MVA appears to be getting at least 7 episodes, which I’ve heard people say is more then enough given its more action heavy then the Joint Training Arc.
The most recent anime episode was heavy but it just reinforces why Endeavor has become one of my most favorite characters from this series, and I applaud Horikoshi-san for telling a story that at times is rather challenging for some. As far as I know Enji is a much less divisive character in Japan but in the west some people love him and some people hate him, but I have a feeling there may (in some cases at least) be a more psychological reason for some disliking him as much as they do but this isn't the place to psychoanalyze people. As much as I need to see the MLA in action It's been nice watching this arc unfold, and we even got some anime original content with more Selkie and a tie-in to the upcoming film as a bonus.
Spoiler Looks like MVA won’t start till episode 20. Leaving six episodes for the whole thing. Bones, don’t let us down. Make all this awkward pacing worth it. EDIT: Oh and no new episode next week. Probably making way for the new movie.
