    Yup.

I'm personally not a fan of the films, but I'm not blind to how important they've been to reviving the brand and how influential they've been on the lore since.

it would have been so cool if they built a full sized Devastator for the coaster to dive down into its maw

One of the highlights of the BttF Ride was when you get attacked by a T-Rex and do the jump just as its about to eat the shuttle. Recreating something like that with a live Devy structure would be AWESOME.

I agree with most of your points, but I think the market you speak of who are nostalgic for the Bay films is smaller than you think (this is coming from someone who was introduced through the Bay films). I don’t think that market will continue to prosper for as long as something like BTTF will remain relevant. I also think BTTF had proved itself as a cultural landmark by the time the ride opened, whereas the Bay movies, though very financially successful initially, had begun their diminishing returns and had established their lack of critical cred by the time the ride opened.

Completely agreed on Transformers as a brand being generations old though, hence my comment on the G1 branding making more sense in a broader cross-generational sense.

The Bay films went 13 years and spawned a subline (Studio) that went another 3 years on the backs of those designs. Barricade is now getting pulled in to G1 as a cop car instead of a blue racer, and the All Spark is a key element of the current fiction (Cyberverse, WfC, etc).

You don't think people are nostalgic? I'm telling you we're still living in the impact of the Bay films.

From what I've gathered, G1 isn't popular with the mainstream Chinese audience, as the Bay films were the first "mainstream" release of Tfs in China. It might be similar to Starwars, where the original 70's-80's trilogy wasn't released originally, and so the newer films had no nostalgia to cash-in on, and thus weren't popular (plus the original trilogy, when finally released there, were seen as "old and naff" by the general public).

This is also partly why the Bay film bots might also have many be KOs of them, over G1 styled characters. If that's true, then in China, Bayverse IS their "G1". Mm

I'm not disagreeing with you that some people are nostalgic and that the Bay films had an impact upon the franchise/an audience, I'm just saying that the Bay films won't have the evergreen legs that many other franchises enjoy. They went 13 years because China saved them at the box office (before it subsequently tanked there next time around). Studio Series has surprised me a lot by how long it's lasted, I'll agree with that.

I think this is much closer to the truth than what myself and T-hybrid are discussing. China's film industry is so different to the west's that a Universal park over there will look quite different to the American ones in ways I wouldn't have guessed.

Kinda reminds me of The Incredible Hulk roller coaster at Islands of Adventure, mainly because they both share a similar structure.

I'll repeat my previous request for a Titan class figure that turns in to an amusement park ride/rides.

So very in the weeds as to what this land is supposed to represent. The normal Transformers ride is here, but then so is Windblade, whose design philosophy is definitely not those of the Movieverse designs?

…the target audience for this doesn’t care, do they?

    YouTube (Legacy):
That Windblade would be a pretty decent stand-in of her character in the BB Movie universe, but looks incredibly out of place next to all those Bayverse designs. It's weird this new ride is based off of designs from a decade ago in the first place. Looks like something that should have been made a while ago.

A brand new Windblade 3D model instead of using one of the existing movie characters is... perplexing

So far this is looking quite impressive. Especially with how they're taking advantage of what it's like to face the Driller in this coaster ride. As for Windblade perhaps that's actually an implication of how the Metrobase could house the brand in general in some manner or another not just from the Bay films? After all what's stopping them from adding characters and elements from both the Bumblebee film and the upcoming Rise of the Beasts into the park?
