    Micromaster-class ;)

Seriously though, love how this looks. And no fake cockpit at that size gets points. No waist swivel is a bit sad, but at that size I'm going to expect some figures here and there will have to sacrifice it.

If these are in two-packs at $30, I think I'm going to be in for a lot of repaints.

I saw it earlier... But these are not legend class, they are a different type of beast!

Is that what these new bots are? I believe they were made to be companions of the City bots.

Well, mostly like you said, they're way too small for Legends-anything.

As much as I insert that Micromaster concept, they certainly are not officially. They never picture them together with any of the Siege (or even old-school) MM-sized figures to emphasize it, which if that's what Dr. Wu was going for, we'd probably see quite a few pictures in that regards.

However, they so far work quite well in that size range:

And personally, I love the idea. :D

I’ll definitely get this guy, won’t fit with anything but I like excessively small things and jets and it’ll be a piece of cake to transform

I'm picturing it on Zeta Bruticus' shoulder. I've never put a Micromaster there to check, but I'm thinking this will be just the right size.

Nice! He looks decent in both modes. Too bad about the waist swivel, but at this size sacrifices are expected.

Glad to get another chance at the toy deco of Soundwave. Thundercracker and Skywarp as a two pack would be alright too instead of trying to shoehorn in another Soundwave repaint. Unless this Starscream will be a toy inspired deco.

I actually think this is coming with Blaster (the other thread named him Sound Blaster before the title changed). I could be wrong, but hoping that's the case.

Ah, makes sense 7 & 8 will be packaged together. Oh well, I probably can still track down a toy deco Soundwave if I really want to so no loss.

Looking at the comments it looks like Megatron is planned for next year to go with Starscream & Soundwave.

This looks awesome for its size, wow.

Also :lol  Star Fear is officially my favorite unofficial name for a 3P release ever. I can't wait for the other seekers, Sky Bend, Lightning Snapper, Push, Sad Song, and Slam Plane to be revealed.

"Sad Song" is the absolute winner here.

    Damn shame,

don't ANY of their extreme warfare figures have thigh swivels?? It's as though they were trying to prove that you don't need them. Well, they're in for a suprise, given how many 3rd party collectors emphasize articulation. You NEED either a thigh swivel or a waist swivel for many basic poses. This is an absolute dealbreaker. They should've simply used ball joints on the knees of their figures. Like I said, damn shame. I might have bought ALL of them, but this is just lame

I bought the Soundwave/Beachcomber set and I wasn\'t disappointed. Beachcomber\'s transformation is pretty rudimentary (just like a micromaster), but he looks cool. Soundwave on the other hand has a better transformation than the Kingdom version (mainly because you can hide the Dr. Wu version\'s feet)... no handgun though... only comes with the shoulde cannon. I also wish they could have made him open up his chest, but at this size, that\'s asking for a lot.

Bottom line, they\'re kinda-sorta inexpensive (relative to deluxe mainline stuff), but they\'re more expensive than Core Class or official micromasters. Hard to say whether I recommend them or not (because they\'re not expensive, but they\'re not cheap either). I guess all I can say is that I\'m happy with them. Can\'t wait for my Optimus Prime to arrive!

Ok now this is getting stupid. I thought they were gonna kerp doing cassettes and some smaller human sized characters, not do that legends scale BS. Instead of boring mini season 1 characters, they could so Slugfest, Overkill, and the Autobot Dino cassettes. They could also do a Studio Series scale 2007 Frenzy and TLK Squeeks at a similar scale to their Mohawk. Even transformable exo-suit Daniel and Spike set would be better than this mini season 1 crap. You loosing me Dr. Wu. Time to revisit the 36 Chambers and seek guidance from Meth, Rae, and Ghost.
