I'd like to see a side by side for Ratchet

 

Ratchet looks great in alt mode, although I’m not a fan of the weathering on his feet and shins in bot mode. I would like to pick it up, though!

It still amuses me that some argue about Hasbro and Takara as two separate companies, and others argue about them as one since the brand unification. Who's right? {rhetorical question}

When it comes to Transformers, neither company has any kind of consistency anymore. Personally, I am nearly done with Generations.

 

This line is turning out to be nothing like I was hoping for.

I'm happy with it. It's just a Studio Series line for me. It's a chance to get figures I missed and with better paint. Love it!

Hmm, I never got Siege Screamer because I didn't want the repeated grime pattern. This is a good version of what the design was trying to accomplish. So I can get him and have Mad Lad Red Wing covered with blotchy splatter.

 

whose right? That’s not rhetorical. Hasbro and takara are two separate companies that have a partnership with transformers. They work together but they also work separately. Takara does their own thing all the time with transformers that hasbro has zero involvement or say in. Their own selects line that were the seacons, super Megatron, Star convoy etc. those figures that were only by takara. Hasbro had nothing to do in them. Just like this premium line. Same as the masterpiece line. That’s all takara. Hasbro got out of the Mp line because on top of takara having to pay for licensing to use real car models hasbro did as well when they were making them because and get this, they are separate companies. Hasbro now has a loophole around that thing with having The Pulse. They are now able to sell takara exclusive figures by selling them as a retailer and andimport so they no longer have to pay the same licensing fee as takara but the con to that is they have zero involvement in the development and production of them.

 

I guess with all the excellent molded in details of today's transformers, I expected some one of a kind, better than we've ever seen in the line paint jobs. There are a few stand out here, but for the most part I've been a bit disappointed.

I don't collect takara usually. I didn't look to see who made it. Unless you personally own Hasbro. it shouldn't matter to you what I like or don't like. That is the problem I have found here there is always some know it all troll ready to attack fellow board members. This place use to be a welcome distraction. Y'all have fun I'm done with this place.
