Well..Hasbro beat me to the punch! A Fangry was released at the end of me finishing this. I had fun tweaking this guy, so I made a few revisions and finished him up. I will be making a second eventually(I updated a few models since printing these parts). I have a tail weapon (that attaches to the beast mode) set to print but I'll add those photos later. I've been thinking of getting a resin printer for the second go round, that would allow me to print parts in higher resolution. It's a bit of a challenge to paint over the PLA..I actually started painting on Fangry first..so by the time I got to Horribull I had more practice. Fangry has reversible sides based on the original toy. Hasbro used the same torso mode for the bot and alt-mode which was my original plan too, but I wanted to push the envelope a bit. I added articulation to the beast head and the back is now the beast mode chest(titan master can still fit). I put the wings on hinges so they were reusable in both modes. I almost managed an all fours mode to get him to look like a Zoid ..but those twinferno arms are too stubby. It turned out pretty fun since you can reverse parts of him in different ways. I'll be eagerly getting the official one but I think I still did better . I'll release an STL sheet, same as Horribull if anyone wants to try. It requires a donor twinferno and mindwipe. I actually like this a lot more than HasTak’s attempt. The chest just seems more proportionate and less hunchbacked.
Oh yea…lol. I actually want to add waves of visible fur eventually. I have to sit down and learn Blender or something similar. btw..just fooling with these guys. They are waiting on their buddy.
Nice! To be honest I haven't seen a custom Fangry yet that I didn't like better than the new official version. I have one of my own rolling around the back of my head, so thanks for the inspiration!
hmm, when you say doner twinferno, could then BB fangry be also used as a doner, considering it is a slight retool of twinferno/grotesque?
The lower half and wings yes..but there is also the beast arms that twinferno has since I didn’t model my own. I see where you’re going...that figure would nab you a head easy.
I’m going to go ahead and post my Fangry files..I want to do some updates but I don’t think anyone will be scrambling to make a Fangry atm so I’ll probably post version 2 of the set a few weeks from now when I have time to do the updates I want.
With how hard it is to find a standalone Grotusque, this might just be my way of having one and completing my Monsterbots....
