Anyone hear any rumors of a Scorponok restock? I got in a reissue of Omega Supreme for January, but I was waiting to see if Scorp would be a Black Friday deal. That was apparently a huge mistake.
I'm loving the WFCT Titans so far. Such great molds and so accurate to their legacy versions. Where are my Omega SPREEM and Black Zarak redecos, HasTak?
Sorry for quoting an older post but this just a great pic. A few years ago, I never would have guessed that we would actually have official Citybots at this size and this close to their G1 selves. The Titan class has given us some fantastic toys.
With Hasbro releasing BlackZarak in Generations Selects (and their acknowledging BWII by releasing God Neptune in Selects and BWII Skywarp in Kingdom), I would love for them to remake Titans Return Trypticon as BWII Gigastorm at some point, also as a possible Selects release
What other large characters could be made as Titans? Since the Ark is now a Titan, I guess the range of who/what can be Titan class has gotten larger...
They could a Metroplex recolor with Metrotitan. They could also do Raiden, Landcross, etc the other 6 team combiners.
But the Metroplex mold is trash, according to many on this forum. I forgot about the combiners! Landcross...
I think it may be more of a style thing or something with Metroplex. He’s actually my favorite city bot minus maybe Scorponok.
AHEM… Nobody besides me thought that Grandus would be a perfect candidate for a future Titan release? ESPECIALLY with Star Convoy in Selects
I think about this way too much. Love the Titan class. Nemesis (pretty likely being contemplated, especially if Ark sales do well) Revenge (Galvatron's ship) a new Metroplex (which would encourage a Metrotitan repaint) Raiden is being worked on as an MP, said to scale with Combiner Wars, which I'm hopefully taking to mean it scales with Titan-class Devastator (and POTP Predaking) I'd love to see the other combiners get improved Titan-class versions (although rumor is Menasor is being redone, likely not as a Titan, in the line to follow Kingdom) The Cyberverse Titans (there was a recent Ioconus release, but way too simple and small) There are other Titans, from comics and other media. (Tfwiki has a category tag that's useful here.) And some possible other options. Some want Stratosphere or Devcon from the Bayverse, for example. As others have pointed out, there are Late-G1 possibilities (e.g. Landcross, and while these options are not my personal preference, I appreciate hearing about these options from those who know these characters better than me, totally hope you get what you want, and would probably buy them too!) Primus (tho to scale with Haslab Unicron, it would have to be bigger than a Titan, so I'm dubious of Primus being done as a Titan) Personally, I think Broadside (no airplane mode) and Tidal Wave (from Armada, perhaps redesigned so the Dark Fleet scales better with itself and not combining with Megatron) would be awesome (in fact, I've been working for 18 months on making my own... just not ready to show anything off). I suppose it's possible to do a Titan-class Optimus or Bumblebee, despite scale issues, or some suped-up armor version of these characters (tho I'd prefer otherwise). So yeah, I think there are lots of options. And on the practicality (not design) side of things, there's always the option of doing one as a Haslab project (with a lower price point, more like $300 than $600), if Hasbro sours on the Titan profit margins or wants to see how the Ark / another less obvious option does. A repaint / retool of the same mold as an upper-level pledge is something I've been thinking about, as a way to make a Haslab Titan more profitable / appealing to the company. Just my thoughts. One final one: we are SO lucky as fans to have gotten so many Titans. Big toys I love and never thought possible growing up. No matter what's next, I'll always be thankful. I mean, Scorponok, Unicron, and a transforming Ark, not to mention Black Zarak, in the space of two years? We are blessed as fans.
I would like to see a Primus at some point. Not sure if he's popular enough to warrant a Haslab release like Unicron, but Titan class might work for him. Maybe a version of the Axalon and Darksyde too. Optimal Optimus as well since he was one of the bigger releases back in the BW days.
Trypticon is definitely near the top of my favorite Titans list. I love having his entire line complete.
Scorpy looks great with the upgrades. I like how Sky Lynx looks like he's using the lava lamp as a booster rocket!
