Cliffjumper isn't the type of character I imagine having that facial expression, but whatever. As long as it dosent partsform, this will probably be my Cliffjumper for the display.

 

This is obviously a legit prototype, however that doesn't mean he is imminent. I sure hope he is though. Time to forge ahead.

If you know where to look for good information, you probably already knew the Cliffjumper rumor had some substance to it, much like Ironhide, Hound, and Skyfire. Considering we have officially seen early news of Skyfire and Shouki, we should probably be surprised if Cliffjumper is next (but it isn't impossible).

The greater question is, what happened to MP Beast Wars? It appears to be dead.

 

Long as he has a non-grinning face, they've refined the tennis-racket shoe look since this prototype was made and it doesn't make FT ditch their Parkour, I can live with it.

But the days of straight-porting Bee moulds into CJ save a few tweaks and new headsculpt I'd really hoped were done with.  

 

I hold out hope that this is the old prototype and they delayed it to improve the feet.  

But seriously, when is Wonderfest? Wouldn’t it be amazing to see Cliffjumper, Skyfire and Raiden on display?

LoL, still keeping the PO for the X-Trans (looks good with MP-21), but all in for this to go with MP-45 (though nervously glimpsing at FT's offering).

This was exactly what I was worried about when I first saw MP-45. IMHO I think they went overboard with trying to be cartoon-accurate, and the figure looked worse than it should've been. And in addition to that, as great as MP-44 looks, I think the figure was still a bit over-engineered just for the sake of cartoon-accuracy. I will admit that I prefer the car modes be scale-sized to the actual vehicle, but putting that aside even if I want the smaller proportions, I still fear that Takara might mess that up in trying to achieve the best cartoon-accuracy possible.

 

I don't know what you are talking about re: Porsches reluctance, they made a massive error re licensing back in alternators, same as VW did, and long before the billions of revenue made from the movies.

Besides which Porsche is part of the Volkswagen Audi group which have been featuring very prominently in recent transformers and licensed several models both in the movies and the MP line.

TT won't release inn limited numbers then double the price a few months later as per Fanstoys sooooo... Potato, Po-ta-toe

That's pretty wild, I've never seen a photo of a figure so early in its development. (I still wish Takara would put out a full start to finish video on something like this, I'D LOVE to see that)

It's pretty cool to see how some of the parts are kinda just stand-ins for what it inevitably will be.
