Just picked up at Midwat Target. They're not on the shelf yet, so ordering via the app and doing pickup is the only way so far.
I don’t know what’s up with the SW suburbs but around the time everyone was spotting Galvatron, I started seeing BW Megatron for the first time. Never saw Huffer in the wild but found his case mates. Found Ultra Magnus but only got Galvatron from a sighting on here about Edina. Saw the little green core fossilizer once that I think is a part of Soundwave’s wave. Targets near me just seem so sad over the last couple months like they hardly get anything new in. They don’t even carry Quilted Northern toilet paper or Tombstone frozen pizzas anymore. Things I find at cub easily enough. I know shipping is still being affected by Covid but it is strange that other stores or areas seem to have an abundance of things I’m not seeing locally. It’s a mystery.
Well, I went back to the Andover Target that had 4 T-Wrecks on the shelf earlier this last week... Nothing on shelves, but the online store had listed they still had four T-Wrecks (as does Coon Rapids and Blaine). I actually hid one once I discovered the toy was street dated, and the figure was still in the hiding spot this morning. If everyone manages to get a T-Wrecks that wants one (which looks like it might be the case), I may return it. But in the meantime, I'll hold onto it on the chance someone doesn't get a T-Wrecks through the store. Oh, and I know I already mentioned this, but if anyone wants to buy the Beast Wars Grimlock and Skywarp off me from those Amazon two packs coming up, I'll sell them at a reasonable cost. I'm only interested in Mirage and Sideswipe.
Dracodon (green guy) is totally part of soundwave's wave. I found Soundwave at Shakopee over a week ago and posted it. There was totally a huffer at Edina on Friday. He's been lurking there for a few weeks. Pretty sure I mentioned him when I first saw him. That said, Slug's been the hard one to find for me. I've got him preordered, but be cool if I could find him instead of just seeing grindors. XD
Stopped by hot comics on a tip from @T-Hybrid and filled out a LOT of the holes in my cybertron connection. Also sorry to Servo for being so preoccupied I didn't realize it was you until I was getting back into my car. XD
LOL no worries. I was distracted by those USS FLAGG pieces sitting on the table... trying to figure out wtf to do with them.
Kingdom Core Soundwave is on Amazon now. $9.99 27 still available https://www.amazon.com/Transformers...=transformers+soundwave&qid=1627266683&sr=8-5
Shout-out to @ServO for setting me up with an Armada Megatron. Now after all these years I can finally put these two together! Literally decades of anticipation leading to...this...moment.... ...okay well there was an attempt made. It's not as good looking as Battlepants Prime but kudos to Hasbro for absolutely throwing scale in the trash for the sake of play value. We could use more dumb fun like this. The modular stuff is a step in the right direction and I really hope they take another run at the UT combination ideas in the modern line.
Update: Impressed that despite wearing a toy the size of Tidal Wave, Megatron is capable of being posed with his arms up and out without the shoulders and elbows sagging or the whole thing tipping over.
Dang. I forgot how crazy some of those Unicron trilogy toys could be. Granted I was kinda out of Transformers stuff during that time and more into video games and anime for most of the 2000's. In my brief travels today...nothing on shelves as usual at Target in Coon Rapids and Andover Target was starting their toy aisle resets as an employee was moving stuff and adding tags down the action figure aisle.
I think a lot of targets are doing that, plus the target in Eden Prairie is going through a renovation.
I love all of the UT stuff. It was when I first got a job and REALLY started collecting. I also feel like with as much flack as Armada can get, it's still one of my favorite lines and actually captures the spirit of G1 well - a bunch of big, colorful, character-filled figures with limited articulation and interesting gimmicks. I really wish the gimmick lines now like RiD and Cyberverse could do stuff like that but it all just feels so CHEAP, and even the TFs from Armada like Scavenger still had more character than any of the weird Ultra figures from Cyberverse. I know it's probably not popular, but I'll take a good gimmick over ankle tilt any day.
I remember having these guys. Was amazing to look at, but I don't recall the connections between Prime and Magnus being super stable.
My pre-order for T-Wrecks appears to be shipping soon with an estimated arrival of Aug 2. Is anybody here interested? I picked one up in St. Paul on Sunday so I don't need a second. I'll hold on to the PO and then hold the figure for a week or so. If nobody wants it I'll take it back to the store at some point. EDIT: Target now says Wrecks will be here by Friday. (7/30) If anyone wants it, let me know and you can have it for what I paid. I think I have 90 days to return it under the RedCard so there's no rush, I just have a shortage of space at the moment and would rather not have it sitting around longer than I need to.
