If you don’t care about the box, keep an eye out for Amazon warehouse deals. I got one for $16 and figure was mint except the box was damaged.

No, still waiting on Amazon. I'll find out eventually, I guess. Kingdom does seem to have some QC issues, between Galvatron, Tracks, and Cheetor alone.

 

Any you know? I haven't been in touch regarding Rodimus's QC. Can't be as bad as Tracks or Cheetor though.

 

No, haven't heard anything on Rodimus. He's beginning to hit retail so we should start hearing things soon. Given the level of engineering, cost, and expectations I would hope they put more focus on him and the Ark than before the Galvatron fiasco!  

 

I never considered the reversed shoulders a QC issue per say, more like an oversight at the factory.

 

Check taobao or Asian resellers.

 

Factory issues definitely fall under the umbrella of "quality control," IMHO.

With the caveat that sometimes the meaning of a word or phrase depends on who you ask: When I had the extreme displeasure of working at an inbound call center doing customer service, one of the trainers said something that stuck with me all these years later. She said (paraphrasing): "Quality is not about being good or the customer being satisfied. Quality is about consistency."

With that in mind, consider Galvatron. I think that there have been reports of figures having been assembled correctly...? If so, then having some the right way and some the wrong way is poor quality because it's inconsistent.

And I think it's worth noting that this means it was a failure by designers or executives to make sure it's easy to tell what part goes where.

 

Amazon just shipped my Galvatron.

When I ordered Soundwave, the delivery date was estimated Aug 5. Now it shows Aug 17. I don't know if all got pushed back or it's amazon selling out and anticipating more in 2 weeks.
