No paint rub at all. Which is a breath of fresh air after my my recent first time transforming Sheridan, which had a bunch of paint rub off.

 

I have a MISB one of these for sale in the Junkion Exchange that I bought to keep as a MISB second, if anyone is still needing one.

 

Picked up Koot on eBay this morning, I hope he's worth it. I would prefer X-trans Loch but I just can't trust it. Maybe if there's a re-issue....

 

I got Koot/Kup in the mail today, (My 7th Fanstoys Figure) Soo far I like him a lot. He's definitely Kup, I think he's a great figure. The Backpack and the seam down the center of his chest don't bother me nearly as much as I anticipated and he looks great with the cygar. 3 months ago I had one fanstoys figure (Hoodlum) now I have 7....I suppose that explains why my bank account and I aren't on speaking terms.

Well, I just transformed Kup for the first time....Went pretty smoothly For a first attempt. Everything went into place as it should and the truck mode is solid. I do wish the the center of the windscreen sat flush with the two sides, but its only off by the thickness of a fingernail. I'm curious, though...has anyone (shapeways or the like) thought of making and add-on grill and headlights for him?!?

I have one that has been opened, and played with and enjoyed, and is currently staring at me from across my keyboard. So there!

 

My Koot and Locke are currently on a kallax, trying to one-up each other with their most epic war stories.

 

Okay THAT I will give you, I honestly forgot that he got better with the reissue for a good second so thank you for catching that, haha.

And yeah, Bee is just a nightmare on the grounds that i'm just scared of breaking some of that clear plastic while transforming him.

 

Finally got a Koot.

 

The real flex here is transforming Koot into alt mode and Takara Hot Rod into bot mode. Let's the world know that not only are you a master engineer, but alao possess the strong, but gentle touch to tab Takara HR's backpack without breaking anything.

 

For me the legs on HR are more difficult than the backpack. Knock on wood but it is very possible that I will one day use just too much force and destroy one of his knee joints or the panels on the back of the shins that you need to flex a bit during the transformation.

 

I wish Koot, Apache, and Rogue had rubber tires. Not sure why FT didn't include them.

 

Rouge's tires feel like rubber to me.

 

That's interesting, I haven't seen that with either of my Takara Hot Rods (gotta have that Targetmaster too). I love the Takaras since you can shot for shot the transformation sequence from the Movie opening, but I always feel like I'm about the break the backpack just before I tab mine in. Still, didn't mean to turn a Kup thread into a HR love fest, no matter how easy it is to do. Congrats on having a Koot though! Sadly, after Lockemageddon he's still the only viable MP Kup for those that like to handle their TFs, or aren't cool with miscast molds for their bot only display pieces.

 

Kup and Hot Rod definitely do look nice together, the classic TFTM pair. If you think about it, they were sort of like Nathan Drake and Sully before Nathan Drake and Sully were a thing.
