With the market being what it is these days and based on how prices rise on these in the past, is 340 usd shipped a good price for the DX VF1D?
Not too bad. I got a couple through proxies (PO's) and by the time they hit my doorstep they will average out to about $315/ A $35 late fee isn't the end of the world.
I'm trying to keep all the figures Im getting reasonable..lol I got this one for a good price on ebay and a US seller at that. Yup this is the Max Factory one. I have the Banpresto Black Rabbit already. I have the WHite Rabbit on order and coming. Both those will surround This one. I'll wait to show what the top shelf is when I get the others in I ordered. Need to get a YF-29 Alto Full set for it also. Oh I would love the Sheryl Gorgeous Statue, but that thing still goes for like $400...
I don't know how you guys do the sexy toys/statues. I find them..........frustrating........if you know what I mean.
Yeah, I’m trying to get this one But don’t want to pay the price for it. These things are worth maybe $50 at most to me but asking price is double or more. If anyone has a line on one for under $50, lmk. Haha, I never cared or wanted any statues of any kind. Then you get one or two and they are alright but not as cool as action figures and you swear off any more. After a while the appeal of better detail and overall aesthetics get to you and you want some more. I don’t care so much about the “sexiness”, just appreciate them as the works of art they are. I would imagine a collector like you that just sets for display and very little hands on play would get that bug even more.
Yep, that’s the price I see too. The KlangKlan statue is up there around $70 or more shipped and I can’t do that either. I think those two are the only ones out that I know of I still want to get.
I have seen statues that I would like to have. Some Godzilla stuff. EVA's, etc. But holy smokes, the money!! And even though I don't play with my toys much I do appreciate the engineering that goes into them.
Yeah, some of the prices I’ve seen for them are up there. I guess you’re paying for the art. Overall, I still prefer toys I can play with. Even if I don’t play with them, I like to know that they can be played with, transform, have gimmicks, etc.
Read in MW that the pricing on the DX 31ax pre-order on Luna went up a notch... It's going to continue go up in price as the actual official pre-orders are going up later on from other sellers.
I think it started at a price higher than most other places should have it so I’d rather just wait and take my chances on POM night.

I need advice from the group. I'm looking just for the DX YF-29 Alto for my new display Im working on. If there any big difference between the regular release and the full set release? I really dont need all the bells and whistles of the full set pack, but I also dont want to get a dud of a valk if there is a big difference there.
Significant improvements to the reissue set. Don't get the older versions, unless you weren't planning on ever transforming it and just wanted a nice fighter-mode display piece (and it's notably cheaper). I posted impressions here: The Macross Thread

Pshhhh same/better energy, Orguss Valkyrie(VF-1A is 1/100, not sure of scale for the Orguss mecha) by Add Dee on Facebook: Hip and ankle diecast ball joints have been reinforced to decrease the chance of loosening. Entire plastic finish is completely different as it’s got a rougher matte feel to it that feels more sturdy than the gloss/semigloss finish of the original. Some cosmetic tonal differences beside that. It’s the best YF-29 toy to get.
