I dunno. When I had Rouge,I was able to get her into some pretty believable poses. Takara's is obviously easier and you can get a wider range of poses but Rouge, like any FT figure can pull off good poses as long as you know how to work within the limitations.

This one would benefit from greater posability of the neck and head and a reverse ab crunch would do wonders (but how many MP TF figures have that?) but I think it works pretty well.
    IMG_20180506_170407.jpg

Forgive me for this next pose but I don't have a lot of photos of Rouge and I sold her off so I can't take anymore.
    IMG_20180506_165631.jpg
... But she definitely doesn't look stiff and awkward here. At least not to my eye.

Now admittedly, the reason I don't have more examples is because once I got Azalea, she took over as my go-to Arcee for dynamic poses because she was so much better at it, but I still maintain that, if you want to pose FT figures dynamically, it can be done without looking awful and stiff.

Something about her face sculpt bothers me.

Her doll-like face is better than the normal face - it’s a good sculpt; but just doesn’t look very much like Arcee.

At least it doesn’t look like a Alien, like the official does.

Azalea is a GREAT figure but not a good Arcee because she looks NOTHING like Arcee and is really, REALLY hard to explain why, she's pink, she's a car, same body design, but there's something in her that just doesn't look like Arcee or even a Transformer, even Nicee looks more Arcee than Azalea, I still cannot explain why

That’s really my take on it summed up perfectly. She almost looks like the drawings on the back of the original toy boxes as opposed to the character on the show.

Her proportions are great because she doesn’t look like a pink stick with a car on her back, but once I bought Rouge, I knew I’d be keeping her.

The Dark/Evil/Whatever MMC Arcee looks pretty neat (at least just the head, lel), but other than that; I agree with everything you guys are saying about her.

I wouldn’t say Nicee looks anything like Arcee — but to me she’s a better overall “female transformer” figure than MMC’s is.

MMC’s Arcee has really weird legs I just don’t like. Chicken-like/really really weird robot-y (the irony I know) legs.

The alt mode also looks like … nothing from anywhere. At least the official nailed the terrible art in the show. FT’s Arcee being an extremely close match whilst also looking very sleek and sexy.

I won't dig too deep into your critique, but I think it's important that you understand your logic eventually backfires when someone says something you ultimately will find offensive and then they use your same logic against you to justify their "just an honest statement no offense bro". You have to be careful you don't corner yourself with that sharp wit; everyone has their limit where they will just cry victim to the mods despite being just as vicious in their own commentary. Is it so hard to just be nice?

Yeah ok, but why do you hate toys? Kinda strong feelings there, especially if you don't own it. I daresay, it's has a somewhat 'imbalanced' feel to it, that you may be so vocal over an inanimate object. I prefer "nah I don't like it". Hating something can't be healthy.

We should all be happy we're part of such a wonderful hobby. Possibly the best time ever to be part of it, too. I just don't understand why you're so angry. You seem to have become more angry when asked basic stuff like "why do you hate toys which you may or may not own". No one is attacking you bud. I don't think anyone's even attacked you. Let go of the hostile feeling. We're all collectors first! Hate is a feeling of irrationality, maybe try disliking stuff instead. This is a great forum btw. You meet all kinds.

wow that's a super long post and I'm just a casual observer with no deep investment in how you really feel lol. should I be charging you for counseling sessions? haha brb grabbing some popcorn while I look on other forums for people with deep seated issues to vent with me xD btw it's ok to be nice to people, we're doomed as a society when people get off on finding ways to be passive aggressive and petty to each other. you might even find friends among us

Also @ MINDVVIPE I'm your friend bro. I don't know where you stand on figures looking sexy or not, though apparently it's a taboo issue around here and something I disagree with, but I personally like my fembots to look as female as possible. Curvy and sexy and why not. You would think women would relish being represented in a positive light, not that how they feel matters since it's our figure and not theirs. Maybe you could tell me in a non-hostile vehement way how you feel about sexy fembots? I promise not to 'hate' your opinion or figure selection, ever.

I like fembots of all kinds. From the arcee body type to strika and everything in between. I am not offended by sexy looking bots like say, nicee or that furai windblade model kit, I like them. I like variety as I think cybertronians being robots can take any number of forms and styling and still all belong.
The point made a bit back was that mp arcee has a more lady of the night look. She doesn't look like that in every angle and pose but can look like it given her more sultry face sculpt and what looks like eye liner, then add on her very organic body molding that also has her butt sticking out a bit as her neutral pose and you get that look. Honestly, that look isn't really even that bad, it really is more the head sculpt and the ugly chest. All my opinion of course (this should go without saying across the board anyway). The figure i said was actually trash was the mp thundercracker as I think that thing looks derpy as hell in bot mode, and the jet mode underbelly junk is so excessive.
That's all I'll say, I'm not getting back into the drama, plus this thread is about Rouge.
I think rouge is great, but I think her alt mode is meh.
I think mp arcee wins there, but the generations t30 one is even better a car mode. Nicee has a super nice car mode as well.
Azalea is spacey, but I also think it looks better than rouge's car mode.

I'm happy with any fembot that takes the female form to its limit. Would the same detractors behave hostile towards a rotund Arcee that looked like Galvatron with Unicron's body? Probably not, so it's essentially hypocrisy for them to decry or detract from any fembot iteration that displays a 'human form'. The argument becomes one of "stop sexualizing robots!" to which I would reply; we didn't. Some guy introduced the concept into the TF universe so his daughter would feel included since all the other bots are overtly male. There was no going back after that. Female bots can and should take EVERY form, and to disclude any one because a small but vocal group of critics feels objectified is absurdism. It's illogical and irrational for anyone to feel offended by a form that exists in real life, now portrayed on but a handful of TF fembots et al. Imagine someone telling you they feel offended because you look TOO GOOD. This is something said out of deep insecurity, not a rational argument over feeling objectified. Now if the complainer looked EXACTLY LIKE the fembot in question, even in just physique, then the critic might have a foothold, but that's never ever the case.

All that said, it's still a hobby. No one forces anyone to buy anything or to look at anything. The hobby is lessened by these acts of hostility towards the fanfare by people who don't really care about collectors at all. I'm amazed the admins cater to these types of people who are not genuine collectors.

MP Arcee looks like a Goddess of beauty from the chest down, MP Arcee and Nicee have easily the best legs that I've seen in an action figure, not even only in Transformers, I hope that DNA (because let's be honest they're the best of the best) makes an upgrade kit for her chest, I love Rogue, I just cannot wait to have a 2.0 version of her WITHOUT PAINT, she could be my favorite figure of all time but the paint chipping on her is MP Megatron-tier, just put WHITE AND PINK PLASTIC THERE, NOT PAINT, fk your paint FansToys

I remember almost crying of joy, but or course CHOMP IS A WAAAAY MORE IMPORTANT AND POPULAR CHARACTER, FT SHOULD RELEASE EVEN BACKGROUND G1 CHARACTERS BEFORE ELITA'S SQUAD AMIRITE

Alright, so after owning her for a year and a half, I finally transformed my Arcee...

And honestly, it wasn't that bad. I mean, it still wasn't good, but it was manageable and I'm not terrified of doing it again. I never felt like anything would break, or even scratch the paint, really.

The secret is to prepare a good work station and always maintain control. Apparently every reviewer in the world thinks it's best to just flop the figure around during transformation like a deranged chimpanzee, but what you actually should do is keep the figure lying flat on a solid surface as much as humanly possible. Always stay aware of where all the different parts are, and use tools to avoid any unnecessary floppage. The main instance where you need to actually lift the figure and move it around in the air is when you have to flip the hood piece through the middle, so when you do that just make sure you are securely holding everything.

Anyway, I'm glad I finally transformed her. At the end of the day, it's just plain satisfying to go from this:

    To this:

And now...I just have one Fanstoys figure left to conquer...I think I'll get to it soon, but....

    100%

Still the best looking MP Arcee IMO.

MC Rap Throne’s faces and chest for the official look amazing — but it won’t make her taller, and it won’t fix her comically oversized backpack.

the “anime” face for Rouge looks pretty decent. You can even paint the eyes a flat sky blue, like the official as well, if that’s your cup of tea.

I honestly think a new set of hands and maybe some more accurate faces for Rouge would do wonders for her — and make her even more near-perfect.

Absolutely agree, though MP-51 is still sitting on my shelf of course. Might get Rouge later on maybe for the meme, haha.

Also, TF2 on TFW... A man of culture I see...

To be fair it's a lot harder transforming a figure in front of a camera.

    @Necrobot -

Lovely photos (in general!) I am not a fan of the alternate chest, nor her original/default face all that much — but your photos were lovely.

Still best MP Arcee we have, IMO.

    Most definitely the cleanest.

She is still one of my favorite FT bot modes. I do wish they include a plastic brace to plug the sole of her foot into so she could stand better. Transformation is a bare.
