Looks good, but better than the Kingdom one?
    Not in the slightest.

That chest design would have done wonders to the kingdom one. Also love the fact that it could stand next to tfa wasp and not look out of place.

Looks awesome. And he has Battle Cat Armor! Hmm actually maybe this is a reference to that sword-wielding Beast Machines Cheetor toy too? :)
Guess I will be ridding myself of the previous Cheetor toy with the battleship as this is just so much more show accurate.

They are not the same character, at all, in the slightest, you know... And he turns into a robotic cheetah. It's like saying TF Prime Optimus does not look better than Earthrise G1 Optimus. Completely different character and design.

There are elements of this figure that remind me of Thunderhowl. But until I get him in hand I'd chalk it up to there being only so many ways to turn a four legged animal in to a robot.

Love they retained the armor gimmick from the show.

I wouldn't worry about spoilers since the show's pretty old at this point.

i think he looks great actually. i love the armor add ons. some cool homages being done there. i'll definitely pick one up. the deluxe figures have been great. a really good way to get these good designs out with better figures.

i'd still like a slipstream, shadow striker, and while probably not likely a lockdown.

Aww hell yeah dude, this looks awesome. Properly bulky and cool. The armour is odd but mentally undressing his beast mode (,’:}) makes me think he’ll look fine without it. Not an amazing cheetah mode but hey at least the arms aren’t the forelegs.

It looks more fun, and is definitely more proportional.

I don't think this needs to "replace the Kingdom" one in a collection, Kingdom is supposed to be the BW character, this is another Cheetor who has a different design, art style and personality. Putting him in a collection would be like putting TFA Bumblebee in a Siege shelf.

Still gonna get it but I just don't think it looks "better" than the Kingdom one as others say it does.

Hm, way too angular for a BW character

By the power of Grayskull? :lol

Maybe he's for more casual (MotU) fans?

At this point, Hasbro feels like a redundancy of a redundancy. Im confused and a little frustrated that this thing exists, right after the previous one PLUS two versions of a Kingdom one.

They could have at least done "night slash" colors or a Nemesis paint job... err, wait, we r getting Ravage from BW already! :lol

That actually looks like a pretty nice Cheetor figure. Has some nice aesthetic cues the Kingdom one doesn’t. But both serve different niches

What's confusing about it? He is a toy of the Cheetor from the new cartoon, not of the "nostalgia for 30 year olds" Cheetor. We have had co-existing toys of different versions of characters out the same year before. At a point in time we had three different Ratchets on shelves around here.

Sounds like more gatekeeping to me. This is meant to represent Cyberverse Cheetor. Just because it doesn't represent your ideal of a Cheetor, doesn't mean you get to dismiss this as "casual". Cyberverse is an ongoing media property, and Cyberverse fans are just as valid as the WFC/Generations/G1 fans. I love Transformers and the fandom, but this gatekeeper mentality is tiring.

My concern with open-windowed packaging is, well, missing heads.  Other simpler Cyberverse figures weren\'t easily disassembled, but this is.  Of course having no window wouldn\'t work for children either.  I wonder how this\'ll play out.

I'm not super in tune with modern TF toylines and their corresponding fiction, but they seem to operate a lot differently than in the old days.

Back in the old days, they would introduce a group of new toys and then introduce them into the show at the same time. Then when another group of toys came along, some of the old characters would be phased out in the show and new ones would be introduced. And if the designers wanted to introduce some new gimmick, a specific set of new characters or forms would be created based on that gimmick. It was very structured.

But now it feels more...random. Characters can show up whenever or go away whenever, new toys can show up whenever, and new gimmicks are usually just grafted onto existing characters and thrown into the mix.

Nice! Looks like he shares the same legs as the Spark Armour edition, but with everything new from the waist up:

I thought the new armour pieces looked unnecessary, but as everyone has pointed out the potential homages alluded to, I’m warming to them.

Thunderhowl may be very flawed, but he makes a good base for a Carnivac custom:

Nope, he's an all-new mould. The legs are thicker, and he has fully articulated ankles. The thighs are also different and the hips are ball joints.

    Ask Ultra Magnus.
