I mean technically pretty much every Galvatron besides Marvel G1 and IDW1 has just been Megatron. So technically, every time Megatron appears it also counts as Galvatron.

The point was that they do like the toys but won't buy them if they don't like the show, but if they do like the show they would buy the toys to support the show. For the record, they don't like the show and HATE Kevin Smith for smearing their good name.

I am going to watch Netflix Kingdom even though I know I'm going to complain about it after. I don't buy the toys to support the show, I buy the toys because I like the toys. Thats how buying toys should be. And I'm going to watch the Kingdom show just because I want to see for myself just how bad it is, and I want to join in discussions about how bad it is.

Imagine if everybody here only brought toys based on whether they liked the Prime Wars Trilogy, War For Cybertron Trilogy and Cyberverse TV shows or not. We are all pretty much disgusted by the poor quality TV shows and yet we still buy the toys. Why is that? What makes us different to another fandom that also has their own show and toyline?

And what do you mean I'm bashing the preview I read while also saying I haven't read the preview? Of course nobody is able to read the comics not yet released, but we can also judge the preview based on what is shown in the preview. We're all judging the Kingdom preview despite not having seen the show are we not? So far I like the Wreckers comic based on what we've seen from the preview; will I think the comic book is decent? Don't know, so I'm going to read it to find out.

And I call myself a Transformers fan. No I can't afford to buy every toy being made but I can spare a few minutes of my time every month to read the comic books then offer my thoughts of its quality. Its called a review. People review things to inform others whether they think the product is good or bad. You seem to have the deluded notion that people have to know that they like a comic book and think its good before they've even read it. That's not how reviews work.

I liked Cyberverse season three but despised seasons one and two. Going by your critically flawed logic, I would have denied myself a season I actually enjoyed just because I didn't like the first two seasons.

 

I'd just like to say thank you for providing this review. You're a hero for slogging through this show, and it's certainly... insightful.

Jesus Christ, Dinobot's going to become a Force Ghost. I didn't realize that speedrunning had extended out of video games and into character arcs. And I thought the IDW comic rushed it.

That voice is horrendous LOL. I'd rather it not sound like the original at all if it's going to be such a bad impression.

As a fan of Dinobot...this pisses me off so much! Thank you for disrespecting one of the best characters from the show RT.

 

Improper use of the word “technically.” Technically, Galvatron is Megatron after some sort of change or power up, so no technically not every Megatron appearance is a Galvatron appearance. Galvatron is a specific entity, even if the changes from Megatron are superficial or minimal.

This what happens when a characters popularity and reputation precedes them. Everyone knows Dinobot ends up noble, but they forget about all the work that got him there.

It’s like how Sky-Byte is depicted as a poet and good guy, forgetting that he wasn’t really a good poet and was a villain who became good. His character arch, as simple as it was, is almost always forgotten and he starts at his conclusion. Dinobot is the same, starting as a noble warrior, devoid of impact or meaning because we’re missing the development.

 

I have no idea. I'm just saying that you can't judge a show's success by toy sales when there were no toys available for the masses to buy, because I would have grabbed those dolls in a hot minute on a target run just because they are pretty.

 

My OG post was to Grumbles. About the toys not selling. Moving a product requires a multimedia approach with the afforementioned show being part of the effort. Given the sale figures and the lack of units moved compared to the massive release of Origins without a show speaks volumes.
Oh, you can still find the products you want in the 2ndary market. They are so cheap that its like a fire sale if you know where to look.

 

Well, to be completely fair, Beast Wars also did a rushed copy of Beast Wars's Dinobot. Remember Dinobot II?   I mean yeah, his redemption was the original Dinobot manifesting in him, but it was still rushed.

 

Not really rushed as much as the episode that would've gone into detail and set up Dinobot II's turn was not produced for being too dark. There's just a piece missing, the rest was fine.

Bring it on. I have literally nothing to look forward to with this final turd, when it drops on Thursday except all the laughs I’m gonna have at how bad it all is.
