And how do you know that? Nowadays it's very easy for kids to watch the recent shows and want to see what came before or buy a Generations figure and want to know more about the character and stumble on the G1 cartoon with all of the current easily accessible technology.

I'd wager the majority of people voting "they're ok" are American, and are actually able to buy the exclusives in question.

 

My daughter devoured every episode of Netflix She-Ra. I told her there was an older show, she got excited, put on the first episode, and got bored within ten minutes, and turned it off.

I don't think she represents every child, but I do think 80s animation may not hold the same sway over a child now as it did when it was the only option on TV.

 

I can't vouch for anyone else but I'm American and want the crap to stop. The only exclusive I have ever been able to find in a store was one of the TMNT sets. Exclusives and catering to scalpers is why I'm pretty much done with the hobby at this point.

And my daughter has watched the classic She-Ra and He-Man. She liked it. So… some kids like it, some don’t.

 

I feel that exclusives should be very neesh but shouldnt cost an arm and a leg either personally it should be a crowd funded figure or figues

 

I don't care about Target or Walmart exclusives, it's not hard to get those. I'm not too wild about convention exclusives. There's so many of those that I really want!

Weird, it was the opposite for my daughter. She spent hours and hours watching 80s He-Man and She-Ra clips\episodes on Youtube but didn't even want to give the more recent shows a try, said she didn't like how the drawings looked. But she liked the modern Voltron series (which I believe was animated by the same studio that did the modern She-Ra) and was bored to death with the old Voltron series.
