My regret is probably the UT and MV1 figures I went back and bought. I like the figures, but I bought them with the intention of finishing the collection, and over time priorities have shifted and that completion is seeming like less and less of a possibility.

I don't think I have sold much that I regret. Probably my extra Titan Fort Max only because it seems to have spiked a bit in price.

    Buying:
Prime and Beast Hunters. Was skipping the line, then everyone seemed to panic a bit when the 1st Editions weren't going to be released in the states fully, so I had my cousin pick them up for me in Canada, have damn near the full run of Prime-Beast Hunters (sans a few Takara releases) that have never been displayed.

Kre-Os. I like the little guys, but missed the last wave of the G1 ones, know that there have been a few others released at the tail end I never got, and have all the builds in boxes.

Mighty Muggs. Think I only missed SDCC Optimus (I know there were only 10-12), just useless to me, stacked away and never opened.

    Missed Purchases:
Unreleased G1 Robot Heroes. The Predaking pack used to pop up relatively cheap, and never bought it.

Blue Henkei/Classics Bumblebee. They were about $100 for the short period they popped up on ebay and I never grabbed one.

Buying regrets: MP Hound and maybe TR Trypticon (he’s neat and he was only $50…but he’s too big for my display space)

Selling regrets: I kinda wish I had kept my G1 combiners and some of my Alternators

    Buying regret:
I'm not sure if this counts but I made an offer on a set of Earthrise seekers on eBay yesterday because I thought I was ahead money-wise for the month but by the time the seller took the offer my bank account had jumped into the negative bigtime because I had misjudged my amounts. (I'm horrible with numbers so don't judge me.) So just as I got my bank account sorted with enough to cover this weeks bills he accepted and I had to pay for them with my emergency card so there's extra debt on me. Dang it. At least it finishes my Earthrise list though... :bay

Buying regrets - BadCube Sunsurge and Warpath. All of the MP-11 Seekers (including TRU Starscream) and Coneheads. FT Terminus Giganticus instead of DX9 Gabriel. Paying stupid money for MP-13 Soundwave and MP-10B Nemesis Prime only for them to be re-released later. Buying regular MP Prowl, Blue Streak and Wheeljack instead of spending a little bit more for the + versions.

Does this include not-buying regrets? FT Reflector, Stunticons, Aerialbots, Warpath, Brawn and Beachcomber when they were much more affordable. Not getting MP-44 when it was $330 from Amazon Japan.

Damn, maybe I should rethink this hobby, lol.

Almost a year has passed since its first release, and my Autobot is still waiting for their doctor (and nurse)

SS Satelite Soundwave, got it for $8 and still feel I got ripped off.

RtS Tracks on ebay. Everybody seemed to love this figure at the time, but I hated it the moment I first transformed it.

Classics Seeker lot I got from ebay, broke Starscream and Skywarp the day I got 'em. Starscream had some sort of add-on that made the wings articulated and it broke at the post. Skywarp had a REALLY stiff cockpit (giggity :lol ) and I broke it. At least it can still parstform, unlike Starscream.

I would've never bought ROTF Deluxe Ratchet or Transformers 2010 Ironhide if I had know how much I'd hate them.

2010 Ironhide was one of the worst figures I ever worked with, and I actually injured myself trying to transform ROTF Deluxe Ratchet. Don't quite remember what I was doing, but on one step, I think involving the chest in some way, I remember feeling a sharp pain in my hand as I moved it away and shook it, and just a little bit after that, I saw some redness on the figure. It was blood! That damn figure actually made me bleed!

Another thing about ROTF Ratchet, I could never work out those side panels toward the back of his Hummer mode, so there's a lot of visible stress on them.

Thankfully, they released DOTM Deluxe Ratchet, and I got myself a Deluxe Movie Ratchet I was actually happy with. I still have him today.

I don't know if I still have ROTF Deluxe Ratchet and 2010 Ironhide, or if they're somewhere in my house still. Whichever it is, I'll never buy any figures of those molds ever again.

I also remember wanting ROTF Voyager Mixmaster as an early Christmas present. I regret it now because I absolutely hate that figure too. Studio Series Mixmaster is a far superior figure, and he's what I wish I got back then. Unlike my ROTF Deluxe Ratchet and 2010 Ironhide, I know where my ROTF Voyager Mixmaster is. He's in vehicle mode, and he's going to stay that way, because I don't want to transform that figure ever again. I'll instead enjoy my Studio Series Mixmaster, because I actually like him.

Regret picking up DoTM Airraid and ROTF Blazemaster from a collector shop. Gonna trade them back when I go again.

MPM Megatron. I hate that thing. I couldn’t even transform it. Barely got it back into robot mode to get back in the box… I feel bad for people who paid full price for it..

Thankfully, I don't have too many regrets. Even a lot of the bad figures I own have their place in my collection. I do regret buying Siege Megatron, since I never thought it looked that great and the much better looking Netflix version got revealed a few days later.:banghead:  I also regret buying ER Grapple and Optimus. I only bought Grapple for dirt cheap, just to add a construction vehicle to my Autobot collection, but I still regret buying it; That bright yellowy-orange is ugly AF and just too out of place in my more Siege-centric collection. I was never happy with how Siege Optimus looked, so skipped him and bought the ER one on sale. Getting it hand, however, it's not that much more complex than a Voyager and the trailer is far too shoddy to justify anything near the leader price. Plus, I kinda feel Siege Prime would've done a better job of bridging the Siege and ER figures in my collection. Worst of all, not long after I bought it, another store put it on sale for even cheaper.:banghead:

If it wasn't after 30 days, and if you still had the box, you could have packed those up and returned them to buy the superior/cheaper ones.

I have your problem too for many figures, but after months. Like I bought ER Arcee for $20 and it was on sale 3 months later for $10 at walmart. Nothing I could have done.

I regret buying MP-10 and the MP Rodimus Prime. Rodimus felt cheap and couldn't get the crest to stay up. I think I dislike the MP-10 mold. I actually prefer the MP-1 Optimus way more. Oh, and any XTB figures.

Purchase regret is Jinbao OS Feral Rex. He is just a mess. Was fortunate to get the WJ Predaking KO before they disappeared to replace the big mess.

Selling regret would be my RiD2001 Optimus, Magnus, and Scourge. I also regretted selling off all my Alternators. Fortunately, I have managed to get many of the Alternators back these past couple of years. They will not be sold off again.

Buying regret: nothing really, if I get one and I dislike it I immediately sell it and I’ve never lost money on eBay. I guess Thrilling 30 Blitzwing because mine was a lemon, although, ironically I’m considering rebuying it. Also the Battle in Space or whatever it was Hot Rod, that thing stunk but the set was moved quickly and I waited for the 86 and Kingdom versions.

Selling regret: Ratchet and Lifeline and as a result Prowl and Ironhide. It took so long to get Prowl and Ironhide that I didn’t think Amazon would actually fulfill it so I sold the Medics set. Then a few months later, Amazon actually shipping my Prowl and Ironhide. I felt that Ironhide and Ratchet have to match and I sold Ratchet, so the other set had to go too. I ended up getting the Henkei Ironhide and Ratchet for super cheap and I like them but the Earthrise versions are probably better.

Regret that I didn’t buy is super easy, there was apparently a Greenlight that sold on eBay a few weeks ago for $45(!!!!).

My biggest buying regret is SS-49. He stuck around shelves for a whole year and went away with no discount. I then found one pretty cheap online but he got sold already. Now the only ones left are marked up $10-20 above retail price.

I have 0 selling regrets, fortunately. Goddamned if I did.

I'd like to say I regret buying bayformers e.g. the supreme Devastator, but at the time I loved them so not much of a regret. Various figures I regret include Titans Return Voyager Optimus and Megatron, Combiner Wars Victorion mostly because they weren't rely figures I wanted but because there was such a long wait for things I wanted that I was craving new figures.

Occasionally I get a tinge of regret for selling off my Fansproject Menasor and Maketoys Computron. They were great toys but as my display evolved to what it is now, they just didn't fit in. But I used the funds from those sales to buy figures that DO have a place in my display, so that ultimately made the decision worth it.

Purchases I don't really have any. Looking back I probably should have skipped buying Planet X's Perceptor because he's way too stylized for a G1 display but I hadn't had that goal in mind when I bought him (and I got him on sale for like $30). I wish I would have chosen to get a UW Bruticus with the TDW upgrade kit over the Warbotron one but again, this was so early in my collecting days that I didn't have the same end goal I do now.

My real regrets come from skipped purchases. At first I decided the Prowl/Ironhide Earth mode molds weren't different enough to justify buying them and trying to sell the Siege molds. Then I got Barricade (only because I needed P/CP) and realized I was wrong. At least for the Prowl mold. Now, as we all know, they are impossible to find for a reasonable price.

Ultimately though, I'm not gonna lose sleep over these. Especially as I realize that I don't have to complete my collection ASAP. Who knows, maybe 2-3 years from now, I'll have a degree and a good paying job and I'll be able to afford getting the exact figures I want for my display, regardless of how old they are. And if not, I still like my collection as it is now.

    Purchase Regrets:

-Takara Siege Release Nemesis Prime - I do like the paint slightly better on this release. But I do regret getting this release for $90 after finding out the Earthrise Spoiler Pack also had Nemesis Prime for $30 cheaper and had a trailer and additional battlemaster to boot.

-TF: Prime "First Edition" Optimus Prime - I bought him for $100 from a Canadian ebay seller. Right before this, Hasbro US announced they had discontinued the First Edition line in the US because they erroneously believed sales were doing poorly when TRU US wasn't even stocking the voyagers or the 2 pack. If I had known fan outcry would have led to them eventually being released here in the US afterall, I would have waited.

-Every single Kre-O set I ever bought...'nuff said.

    Selling Regrets:

    - My Alternators collection - I had the full run sealed but I had to sell them off to help pay a bill. I made enough to pay my bill but I still kind of miss them sitting on my top closet shelf.

-TF: Prime "First Edition" Optimus Prime - I regret paying as much as I did and I also regret having to sell him (again to pay bills). I know Pulse released the Takara release of Megatron and Breakdown/Air Vehicon, so I'm hoping that I might get another chance to rebuy Prime.

-Non-TF related but I regret selling all my 90s MMPR (first release Season 1-3 and The Movie) and Zeo Zords in a garage sell for $80. I don't regret selling them (I was just starting college and was clearing out space and making money for college expenses) but I wish I had looked to other avenues of selling them so I could have made a little more of my money back if not a little more.
