Aren't they staying in Montreal ( stand in for Nyc ) till like September and then heading to Peru I didn't think they were actually going to New York City.

 

Yeah before Peru is actual NYC for a bit. Don't know how long. Then after that is 6 weeks in Peru. They're pulling a Spider-Man. Film a bit in New York and the rest mostly somewhere else that doubles as NY.

 

I think The Fire Brothers mentioned the NYC filming in one of his recent Vids. He said he'd check it out as that's where he is currently.

Does the alleged Twitter / TikTok ARG count as part of the marketing campaign?

 

I'm not sure, cause we don't know if the Twitter/ TikTok ARG is actually for ROTB or the TF video game coming from Certain Affinity

I will post my biggest prediction for the marketing:
-SDCC teaser footage or more likely a still pic from the film, perhaps Optimus or Bee, might be either bot mode or car
-New logo reveal around the summer, the one we have right now might not be the final look, perhaps at licensing expo or cinemacon
-Toy reveal at NYCC in fall 2022
-Trailer in december 2022 with Avatar 2

I'm not expecting much other than them maybe saying it's coming along well.

 

I doubt anything about he movie itself will be mentioned during NYTF. It's an industry fair aimed at buyers for toy product, not like conventions which tend to be all-encompassing. I don't think anything's been revealed or discussed about the movies themselves at Toy Fair, other than the toys sometimes revealing characters.

 

They did reveal the snake eyes poster back then.

 

I just want to see some promo art gosh darn it!!!

 

Speculation on trailer release and first look for 2022:
-Maybe a design reveal at SDCC or a teaser poster
-A big reveal at NYCC, perhaps first cgi shot from the movie.
-EW article in December and first teaser trailer attached to Avatar 2.

And then in 2023 it's the Super Bowl, official trailer and final trailer. Oh, a Kids Choice Awards tv spot too.

 

I'd love if SDCC happens this year (which it probably will) they do a panel their and talk about ROTB like they did with Bumblebee.
