I made the switch to predominantly digital for media back in about 2009, haven't really looked back since. Though I really do need to get an external hard drive to make a back up of all my stuff. Years worth of work ripping all my movies and making copies to put on my pc

Well I’m sold. Even on my crappy little phone screen the 4K scenes looked a lot better to me.

I like physical media. It means I don't have to rely on any streaming or cloud sources to view a show. Even if the internet is down or the actual service hosting it goes away....

Mine actually just arrived (NJ) today. Poster is quite nice. Don't see anything about a digital version...will have to wait for someone to rip this puppy.

Mine came in today too (PA). I thought it wasn't coming for another month or two so I was the surprised.

Just opened it, no digital version mentioned anywhere. Nothing packed in with the 4 art cards (which are just scenes from the movie).
The UHD disc is labeled as widescreen (uses a close up of Rodimus from the new cover art as the disc art) while the regular Bluray is marked as full frame (and has the tunnel effect from the opening as the art). Nice looking scene of Unicron passing by the star from the opening of the movie is used as the interior art of the case and the back art is Galvatron to match up with the Rodimus cover.

If the world ever goes apocalyptic and the internet dies, I believe I’ll have better things to worry about than watching BD’s or DVD’s.

Digital for life, games, movies etc. did the switch a long time ago, never looked back, never will.

    Disc cases, eww.

Please elaborate your position.... digital is streaming and requires internet access (unless it is in your home network).... Physical is I'll play it anytime at the highest quality.

Unfortunately most people don’t seem to care these days that the discs are higher quality than the streams. I appreciate the lossless soundtracks in my theatre room but most people watch movies on tiny screens, phones or tablets so the quality doesn’t matter. Especially the sound quality.

My sister had a 5.1 surround setup in her TV room and recently ditched all the speakers and replaced them with one of those Apple Pod things. I couldn’t believe it but she just doesn’t care. Apparently it’s simpler that way. I keep adding more speakers to my setup for Atmos and others are going down to one. Oh well, hopefully they keep making discs for us for a while. To be honest the video quality on several streaming services is pretty damn good and very close to 4K discs. If the sound quality ever gets close to the disc versions I would consider ditching physical media.

Mine arrived today as well. I'm a bit disappointed that the art cards are just stills from the movie as opposed to the awesome new artwork created for this release. The lithograph looks nice and I'm looking forward to framing it.

Yeah and they aren’t even that high of print quality. At least the poster is nice!

    Goddamn it.

I swore I wasn't gonna buy this again, but I'm like a crack addict. I'll never be able to quit.

    I just pre-ordered.

I have honestly lost track of how many times I've bought this movie....something like 3 on VHS, which was especially important at the time cause that was the only way to get the word "shit" and then the other version which is the only way to get the UK opening....(not even sure I still have the VHS copies.....)

For sure at least 3 on DVD, and I definitely gave away some of the extraneous ones but I think I kept the 20th anniversary edition.

And this will be my 3rd bluray. And I don't even know where half of these tapes and DVDs are anymore.

I'm sick in the head. If you're reading this, chances are very high you are too.

Got mine today and can confirm the audio is only 5.1 but I thought it was great. To me the colors were brighter, sharper and the reflections stood out more . I enjoyed watching it for the 1 billionth time. It also reminded me of my seething hatred for Hot Rod.

I'm definitely not jealous of these early deliveries :p  I thought it wasn't supposed to be out til 3rd of August?

Fingers crossed it gets released slightly earlier over here too, otherwise October 25th is a long way away :(
