I'd definitely be down for this if I collected MP. I don't, so I'll just stick with the Nightbird I have, but this looks cool.

I do wish TT innovated more with the Arcee-sculpt and made the current backpack origami more into a smaller compact backpack ala Inferno/Grapple instead, as there is no need for her alt-mode to be "accurate" since Nightbird never had an alt-mode in the cartoon/anime.

Figure king probably drops the 27th or 28th wonder if there will be something else, with her going live the 28th.

 

I think this is rad and am looking forward trying out the mold as I went elsewhere for my Arcee.

That said, I totally get why this doesn't appeal to some people or doesn't fit into the "rules" of their collections. I do hope someone makes a 100% accurate non-transforming toy too at some point.

 

I wonder how those sai are staying attached to her forearms. Maybe they are new forearms after all

 

I wish the sais were smaller. The show depicted them tiny on her forearms. But what are you gonna do :/

I think a bigger size is better though, because in-scale ones look kinda silly being wielded, as seen in iGear’s Shadow Assassin:

Kind of wish we got 2 uncovered faces, a cute and a scowl/sneer. It's obvious shes gone bad at the end of the episode so an appropriate Decepticon face Is necessary, but based on her LGs appearance a cute girly face would be nice. Watch we get neither and it's simply stoic.

 

Going through the accessories again, I wonder what the source of the two swords in the right top is, is it from the comic?

A shame that they didn't include the nunchucks instead, as those were shown in the cartoon... but not used.  



Two shuriken are included, which were stored in Nightbird's side in the cartoon. You can also see the sai property here, connected to her arms.



She threw a lot of shuriken. If you would want to mimic that with MP-55, you would have to purchase ten copies.  



You can recreate this scene though, where she held two shuriken in one hand and then threw them.  



Here you can see the two shuriken, and she's holding a katana.



She used the katana and the shuriken the most in the cartoon.



Here you can see the katana handle and the sai properly.



Nightbird stores the katanas on her back. She only wielded one katana at the same time in the cartoon.



She has two katana handles on her back.



The saw blades aren't included, but they would have made nice accessories.

I guess the extra face is based on the comic too? In the cartoon, only her masked face is shown.





Once the Autobots defeat Nightbird, they store her away, with the two katanas still on her back...



She gave us an angry stare, but besides this one episode, she never returned in the cartoon...

 

Next up, they recreate the TR Arcee/Chun Li SFxTF figure from a few years ago.

 

Not katanas, lightsabers. Note the distinct sound and shape. They look nothing like katanas.

 

The swords look alot like Leonardo's, which are actually Ninjato and not Katana.

 

What were the other recent black repaints? Shadow Panther, Nemesis (from 44) etc...
