    Jun the Swan
    Jinpei the Swallow
    Ryu the Owl

Now I need an anime version of "Snooker Loopy" :D

just picked up a cheap Siege Soundwave (my first ever re-buy) and reasonable Scream and Crackers to start a worrying trend of having 2 versions of characters. (Pretty sure i can keep it to 'ones that were in ep1') so gonna need that Origin Bee and hopefully they do a WJ too!

FYI, the second and supposedly final block of 5 episodes of MOTU Revelation is sometime this year.

I honestly can't see it redeeming the central problem for many of Teela being the star unless they deliver on what they've been afraid to mention with her, AND make it LITERALLY all about He-Man (I'm paraphrasing Kevin Smith's Twitter there*) in 5 short episodes.

Critics generally loved it but notably spent much of their 'reviews' talking about the history of the character and how cheesy the original was. What, that game changer from 1983? Of course it looks cheesy now, you might wanna focus on the nuts and bolts of today's offering instead of worrying about how woke your 'review' will look.

MOTU fans generally seem meh on it or outright hated it. And it's not like they didn't love 200X or have said they won't try the kiddie version that's coming up. Like most people they wanted He-Man. I mean he was the star of the first trailer, the marketing, the toyline, the showrunner said so, the original show...

    * That guy will be trolled for years off the back of lying around this effort. Any other big show he works on will now get filtered through Revelation first.

I did exactly the same because I couldn’t choose between Siege and Earthrise/Netflix Ironhide and Soundwave (and others).

I'm in these posts and I'm fine with it. :p
Every death, bar Moss Man's deliberate NO ONE IS SAFE (but I'll allow it in this case as it was a functional narrative setting of stakes), hit and was earned.
Orko going out a total baller. The Rogue One-ish blackly comic fate of Roboto, and his final soliloquy. Both of them got me in the Feels.
Any moaning about SMITH FUCKEN SIDELINED HE-MAN is entirely misguided, he's right at the centre of it all, and it's pretty dumb to think Prince Adam won't be triumphantly raising the Power Sword aloft by series end.

Also props for Prince Adam being the one true He-Man because he's the only one willing to return from Preternian Paradise for the safety of Eternia, lovely Superman is Clark Kent vibes.

My money's on Sorceress porting our heroes out of there before Skelegod annihilates them at cost of her life, meaning our heroes have to get Adam healed up, find a way to wrest the Power Of The Universe from Ol' Boney, in the course of which Teela will ascend to full Sorceress status (with Andra taking her place as Captain of the Guard under Man-At-Arms mentorship, or taking on his role & Teela's sorta-combined) to a new, rejigged status quo (maybe even Skeletor being legit taken out, and Evil-Lyn stepping up as mooted in this front end). The only disappointment would be an end that wraps things up back in the old Filmation Status Quo, gimme dat mutatis mutandis!

I know, I know, somewhat hypocritical from Mister I've-recently-discovered-the-joy-of-the-TNG-reset-button.
In my defence I would point out my long-standing admiration for Jonah Nolan's spiralling upwards in threat level progressive seasons plotting like in Person Of Interest, and Westworld.

Also anyone else really vibing on Rollins' psychotic cult leader Tri-Clops? It seems entirely fitting that he be the voice of an MOTU character gone kinda Gibson Cyberpunk villain!:lol
It really is nice to be able to actually enjoy an updated nostalgia trip, shame we can't get the same for our favoured franchise! (Even though Cyberverse was great, it's demographic limited what it could do)

    I've been watching it.

To be honest, completely objectively it's just boring.

    Much like the WfC animation.

    Both watchable but just meh.

I mean a lot of G1, the original he-man motu, mask, gi joe series were boring too when rewatching it.

2000x motu was pretty good though.

I found the new She-Ra more enjoyable.

For anyone who didn't like the look of Kingdom Rodimus or Galvatron... it could have been fucking worse.

Right, so, I guess Kapow must also be getting them in, right? Right? And Tracks too so they can send me my order? I'm properly suffering from bot withdrawal here.

Galvatron is an absolute beauty... so happy I got him. I've been advised against it, but i'll put him on top of Magnus when i get him, so help me God!

Yup, I was for speeding it up because I actually checked my watch a few times. Even the original is better at holding your attention today. Netflix She-Ra is a much more compelling show.

I mean funnily enough the characters were designed around He-Man, so once he gets nerfed in every sense... I've a feeling he's their Superman, didn't know how to write for him.

Never watched She-Ra 2.0, but I heard a lot of badmouthing about it on Clownfish TV (from the female host, no less) about how it's a train wreck of SJW agendas and an improper portrayal of an eskimo character. Personally, I think the animation style pales next to the new MOTU show. I'm downloading that now. :)

So... Fortnite ShortsNite II brought my attention to this wee lovely series of animated music videos that tell a surprisingly touching story in the 20 minutes you spend with the characters. I recommend checking it out, the music's also quite good too! Hopefully more of these shorts are released, I want to see what happens next.

It's always been amusing to me that in Japan 'Ken' is a heroic name but over here it's a Tobacconist.

Oh, the humour in MOTU: Revelation was pretty cringy too.

I strongly suspect that my adverse reaction to it is more or less squarely down to thinking Smith is mostly shit. I genuinely expected stoner jokes based around Moss-Man, which is about the level I tend to expect from him.

Unlike most haters I wasn't particularly arsed about having Teela and Evil-Lyn carrying much of the story but it felt VERY cynical to me. Also, Teela sounded exactly like Summer Smith from Rick & Morty to my ears, oddly.
