Watching it a bit. It kinda sucks. Main kid is an idiot.

i miss classic Zoids series. I loved Chaotic Century and Zero. They were mostly war machines instead of wild beasts. You had actual cockpits. Here they ride on the back. I miss zoids with cannons. Like Liger Zero Jager armor.

Zoids was always sort of in-between the two. While they did have cockpits, they were almost always depicted as somewhat alive (CC esp, Zero was just a hint of it) I always saw them as living creatures who people militarized & armored up to fight. I tried to watch some Zoids that were made afterwards, I think Genesis & Fuzors? but I couldn't get much into them. Also, Main kid being an idiot is almost a prerequisite for like 40% of anime nowadays, especially zoids, or at least headstrong & doesn't think ahead.

Yeah they were somewhat alive, but mostly were piloted machines. Like 85% machine 15% alive. It had a spirit. These Wild ones are like 90% alive 10% piloted machine.

Plus the zoid's eyes in this series are freaky. They used to be like a glass lens. Now they are like an eyeball crossed with rubber caps you put on a zoid model kit. Freaky. Plus a lot of the designs are just too weird. They looked normal. Now they are all over the place. Plus the enemies are more Team Rocket than a credible threat.

Afraid they don't exist. Just not subject matter Japan really cares about to be honest. The only anime I can recall even having a German Sub is Black Lagoon episode 4.

Watched Princess Principal: Crown Handler. If it wasn't for the prior knowledge about the 6-movie deal I would wish for a second season, but for now these will be the closest thing for that.

I finished Ichigo Marshmallow last night. Other than my hate for Miu, I enjoyed this show in the end.

Having finished it last year, I guess it's so so.
Especially if the humor doesn't land on you.
It was still fun though, before watching this I built some kits from the series so I got to see them in action which was always cool.

Saw "Kenya Boy". If this wasn't Japanese I'd call it one of the whitest things I ever saw because my God it so awfully hilarious. It tried to be some sort of a jungle adventure and at the same time tries to be a trippy acid trip with many stuff happening without any sort of logic or explanation.

In the past week, I watched the first few episodes of Cowboy Bebop and Attack on Titan. I like both. I wish I hadn't waited so long to check out Bebop...it's hilariously violent!

I watched the Ichigo Marshmallow Encore last night and it was funny as usual.

I am just wondering if anyone here reads Light Novels. I will post an image of my ever growing collection sometime.

Finally something on the new Tokyo Mew Mew. I like the new designs but as usual need to get used to them in animation.

I finished Nanoha StrikerS last night and it was pretty good. I just was not a fan of the newbies in the show.

Just finished Food Wars season 2. Too bad Netflix or Hulu doesnt have season 3+. Debating if I wanna spend for another streaming platform (Crunchyroll) to watch it.

Til then I just started watching How Heavy are the Dumbbells You Lift? on Funimation. We'll see how long I can last with the multiple 90-120 second ads during episodes. :/

Im still missing a few :( . Wanted to complete it with the special editions but they're so expensive now. I bought all at Best Buy a few years ago but they were so sporadic (and some where at end caps not even close to the Anime section).

I might just get the regular editions now just so I can complete it before they get even more expensive.

I do have the complete DVD box sets (the first version) though.

Where'd you find it if I may ask. Ive only looked at Amazon.

Yeah, it random I guess which ones are super expensive. Some special editions on Amazon are (or were a few weeks ago) cheaper than the regular ones. But TBH, you aren't really missing anything by not getting the special editions. More shelf space used just for stuff you can read online.
