You know, now that I've actually seen Airazor and Tigertron next to each other, it makes me wish, more than ever before, that her colour scheme was closer to the show. Their white/near-black combo looked so good together. Brown just doesn't work as well.
Looking closely at him, not a single part that I can see is oversized from Cheetor. Every single piece appears to feature entirely new molding. Even the hinged pieces that attach to the shoulders, which appear very similar, are actually different if you look closely. Even the fur textures differ. The codpiece is different (look at the hinges and the slice on Cheetor's.) The thigh parts have a slice for a swivel. The inner calves, which on first glance look similar, are actually different (note the ridge, among other things.) The shoulder wings differ to accommodate the differently shaped beast modes. Not even the beast mode feet are the same molds. I may be missing something, but I cannot see a single part that has identical molding that is simply upscaled. As others mentioned, shared engineering (the configuration of parts, how the transformation works, similar methods, etc.) is not oversizing.
This is only the "best beast voyager" if you factor in nostalgia and ignore the tiger mode. I love Tigatron so much. Never grabbed the OG toy and regret it. However, is it just @PrimeVsPrime (sorry for pinging you, but I am not allowed to talk about you without letting you know on these forums) posing and camera angle or does the Tiger look really weird? The front legs are just too skinny and the paws too small. the tiger in general is too wide, almost barrel chested.. Looks like a fat tiger on tiny legs before I see more images of the tiger mode, I am not pleased with how it looks. Even the MP looks better. Kingdom is supposed to be more realistc not less. I believe there was to much emphasis on the robot mode, due to fan demand and fan reactions to Cheetor. Blast those Cheetor haters Also, pardon my language, but wtf is up with those ankle joints?? I don't mean the ball joints, I mean the hinges. What an UTTERLY wasted engineering budget. Com'on! 1. A tiger does not have two ankle joints 2. They serve no purpose 3. WHY? 4. Could've gone into an articulated tail, but nooo we get a tail whip!! -.- And extra articulation to simulate a tiger with broken ankles...
Overall this figure looks fantastic and I'm so excited. Tigatron is probably my second favorite Beast Wars character after Rhinox and I've never had a figure of him before so this is awesome for me. I have always loved his colors so I do wish there was more of that minty green on his legs and I get what they're going for with some of his fur being that orangish/yellowish color but it might take some getting used to. However, those are just nitpicks I am for sure adding this guy to my collection and finish my season 1 Maximal team.
Beast mode kinda sucks but the robot mode looks good. Glad to have a Tigatron that's more playable and affordable than the MP.
THAT'S what bothers me about Kingdom Tigatron's beast mode! You can see from the side, it starts to look like a cow!
I'm feeling you 100%. You're not alone Thing is, 85% of fans here do not care as much about the beast mode as we do. To most, the beast mode is just an "added bonus". The likes of me and probably you however, think of the beast mode as equal to the robot mode. Anyone who watched and loved the show knows, that they spent a lot of time in beast mode and a lot of emotion was connected to them. In Beast Wars the beast modes were true alternate modes. They simply had TWO appearances. In G1 and every where else the alt-mode is just a transportation mode or a disguise they literally can't wait to get out of. In BW they went hand in hand. You had Rattrap walking around enjoying an apple in rat mode or Cheetor chilling on his bed in cheetah mode when he was grounded etc etc. Tigatron especially spent 90% of his time in beast mode, so it sucks they didn't pay more attention to that.. Alt-mode similarities between vehicle and beast modes include, that the alt-mode is a "repair-mode". See BB movie, where he's almost dying and goes to VW mode for a long time, only to be woken up later Look at Airazor. Same thing. Beast mode is no more than a bird with a squatting robot underneath, but people praise her beyond imagination, because the bot mode looks great
It looks pretty damn good. Some of the plastic/colors look a little off to me, but I think a big part of that is the stark white backdrop of PvP's video, which is going to call attention to anything even slightly less than pure white. It's basically taking the Kingdom Cheetor design specs, and using the increased size and bulk to tweak and improve it in many ways. The beast mode is a bit compromised, maybe looking a bit too skinny, and lacking some of the personality of Tigatron's screen beast presence. I appreciate the 'gut gun', but kinda wish it stored somewhere better than hanging under the tiger's tummy. Even a peg hole on the beast back or shoulder would be preferable. Still, a VERY good showing. Unless I run into some strange issue in-hand, looks like a 9.5 outta 10 to me.
The placement of his gut gun means Tigatron now has a nut gun... If squirting stomach acid was a terrifying idea, the Predacons are really in for a sticky situation now.
Please don't feel me. Jokes aside, Tigatron's bot mode is good I'll admit But yeah, I'm one of the person who prefer both mode to looks equally good (or at least, to the point I can compromise either mode). Tigatron's alt mode looks like malnourished tiger, I'd prefer if he got beefier, since he's a tiger and not a cheetah. Also, the lack of proper storage for his Nut Gun really makes it seems like an afterthought, after seeing people complaint about lack of it in Cheetor. Overall, I'm not liking him, and will pass on him, will rather saving for what comes after this.
I had heard that. I was considering this to be an unofficial, honorary reveal due to it's timing coinciding with the SDCC virtual event. If they had actually played with SDCC this year, we might be looking at all the wv4 reveals right now. What ifs? Tigatron is an easy purchase. Hasbro did a good job with him. The yellowing, while authentic, is a bit overkill. And they should have included the maximal symbol on his head crest. But still an excellent figure all around.
I remember reading somewhere that the voyagers are produced in a different factory than other size classes for some reason. Perhaps that factory does not have tampo printers that can print symbols as fine as on the other classes. It would explain Rhinox’s missing forehead tattoos as well.

I love BW too, but my budget forces me to choose so I'll be even more nitpicky, considering it's a thing that I love
I feel it's a tad unfair for Tigatron, since he was just going to be a white Cheetor rather than this at all. The last minute scrambling to redesign him into a Voyager meant they built up on the Cheetor design rather than go all in on an original design like the MP.
It does feel unfair, I guess. But yeah, if they (?) want my money, they should've thought better And it's not like majority hates it, just me and maybe few people. He's still a good bot (in bot mode).
He wasn't pristine white in the show but didn't had that much yellowing. Real white tigers have yellow spots on their fur because they are supposed to be orange, they just don't have enough pigment in their fur and this results with mostly white fur with some yellow spots where there is some pigment.
