Oh damn. I actually wasn't even thinking about them getting new molds even. In my head they just are retools of the combiner guys. But now that you say it, yeah I would like it if they got new molds. But I'm more than fine with simple retools.

It helps that whether they start with Victorion or Megatronia, they have a dedicated repaint for them right off the bat.

We are getting Perceptor in SS86, we have a listing for him.

We're getting the classic three Insecticons in SS86 at deluxe class.

Headmaster Jr's are apparently happening next year. Unsure if the japanese ones like Minerva are happening.

No word on Tidal Wave.

There is a listing for Blaster coming this year, rumor is he comes with one of his cassettes (either Eject OR Rewind, I forget what the original rumor was).

"Yes, we'll be the first to reveal Jolt"

Sometimes we need to remember we're a tiny fraction of the people who watch out for reveals, let alone of the fandom itself. Just because figures leak before reveals doesn't mean reveals are less effective. I'll be honest, I think the fine people at Hasbro should put more effort into the reveals instead of rushing to keep up with random people on the internet with shitty phone cameras and an army of cheetors

 

Oh man, G2 repaints of the Stunticons never even occurred to me. This might sound terrible, but I hope we get leaks of upcoming Selects so we can know if G2 repaints are coming or not.

And personally, knowing the leaks sometimes make me MORE excited; the reveal of Kingdom Tracks wasn't diminished when he was leaked.

 

Out of all of them, the only one I really don’t count is Wheezing Arrow, because he never actually appeared as anything but a statue.

I love getting the leaks. I enjoy all the hype (or not) for the figures and the speculations of what they entail. Then being completely surprised (or at times let down) by the official reveal. I don't feel like leaked listings really ruin anything especially when we have yet to see actual product. Even leaked images don't really give us the full picture of a character so even then it's still cool when we get the official reveal.

 

If it wasn't for leaks, I probably wouldn't be as into collecting. Knowing what's coming helps with budgeting; I can set aside that money months in advance, & even extra just in case. Also it gives me plenty of time to decide if I want something or not, instead of "oh crap the preorders up, better get it now just in case I never get another chance".

And if anything else, I'm even more excited when the official reveal comes out, as I finally get to see the thing I've wanted for months. Like right now, I'm chomping at the bit for Pipes; someone needs to get their hands on him soon ha ha.

 

Come to think of it, when Unicron was revealed, a physical model was brought to sdcc in 2019. I wonder if we might get a similar deal for star saber? Even just revealing it maybe

 

It makes a lot of sense to reveal Star Saber at SDCC!
