Possibly. But considering that they went through the trouble of making this bumblebee, as well as the Siege Seekers, look as close to their classic G1 earth robot modes as possible, they'd probably do the same with Wheeljack. That is, robot mode with the lancia chest and feet, but a hover van alt mode. Just like how this bumblebee has the beetle feet and chest.

There's also the issue of the wings, shoulder cannon, that kind of stuff. Though if we're going with the Ironhide retool idea, those could easily just replace the hammer.

 

Did you think I hadn't tried on my end first? I did and I get no results. I don't use the sites enough to know if that just means that there aren't any in my area or if they aren't showing up at all like I saw people say about NECA items (in a FB group)?

So I'm asking for anyone that's found one and USED an inventory site to chime in and say if the site worked or not?

Does it use the same plastic as WFC? It looks like it has a Cyberverse deluxe feel to it. Getting it regardless.

Don't use scale as a straw man to complain about a figure. Size does not factor if a figure is a deluxe, voyager etc. It's ultimately a design choice that Hasbro/Takara make.

For example, Hasbro could have developed Cliffjumper and Bumblebee as core class figures but their designs would have been radically simplified. Instead they became small but complex deluxes. Cheetor could have been a voyager and remained the same size but his overall design would have become more complex. Hasbro preferred to stick him in deluxe class even though there had to be sacrifices to his design.

There is pros and cons to that decision and you're not going to please everyone but there is a reason why things happen.

If Cheetor had been a voyager, then he surely would have shared the same mold as Tigatron. In this scenario, Tigatron would have been shorter then Primal or Cheetor would have been taller then Primal. Instead, Hasbro made Cheetor a deluxe and everyone is closer to the correct cartoon height. It's a valid design choice to make the figures resemble their onscreen appearances even if that doesn't matter to you. I also think it looks better to have two unique big cat molds instead of one big cat mold that's repainted/retooled twice.

Somehow putting him right next to the netflix version make them both look worse (or at least draw out the flaws in each). Man that netflix one is chesty. It still won't stop me from buying 8 of them.

Here's hoping they left a cybertronian version of Wheeljack out of the last trilogy with the plan to give us his cyberminivan in the future. I don't even care if the trailer becomes a battlestation, or whatever they call the pile of kibble that would come off it.

I got a notification on Ebay last night around midnight and I was amazed to see it was origin bee.
I immediately scooped one up.   Paid a bit over retail but it\'s 2 hours to a target for me.  So the time spent and money on gas to go looking and probably not finding one made it an easy choice.
