I might get Megatron because, once again, we'll never get that kind of figure that will be able to transform in the main line.

 

Sunk cost. Toys are designed around 1-2 years before they finally start appearing on shelves.
Cheetor and Arcee doing well or not would have no bearing on this wave, as they came out in March. Optimus and Megatron only came out in September. That's not enough time to declare them a success.

Take for instance the Micromasters. They didn't do well in Siege, but they still put them out in Earthrise. Whether or not year one's toys did well has zero bearing on year two.

Get back to me in 2022 and we'll see if RED is still putting out toys that are competing with transforming versions of themselves at the same price.

Walmart wouldn't be requesting more stock if they weren't selling to it's satisfaction. Let alone building a special event around the reveal of more.

Hasbro can make all the stuff they want, but they'd be struggling to find an outlet. Walmart appears happy to cooperate.

Again another pointless argument about the R. E. D. Line. I think these are good figures and great for young kids who just want a bot to mess with without having to worry about transforming them. I think some fans are forgetting that.

Yes there designs are clearly meant for long time fans especially coronation starscream and the upcoming reformatting megatron but I'm sure very young kids can enjoy messing with them and they are great display figures. Starscream will go great with Kingdom galvatron.

I have two myself and will get reformatting megatron too. There are markets for everything. Some of us might not want a non transforming transformer and then there are others that do.

Again no one making you buy them if they aren't your cup of tea.

You would be correct on this. After Megatron's interior is shown during his conversion to Galvatron, there isn't any sort of grid on him until after he's re-formatted into Galvatron. So not only is it inaccurate & lazy, they didn't even get it right lol.

It's amazing isn't it? Total lack of effort or attention to detail. It's like every time Hasbro does something that impresses me or is genuinely good they have to do a ton of missteps to counteract it.

Some people are saying we won't get a transforms le version of this because we can't have him as a gun but no reason he can't become a tank and still look fairly accurate.
