I saw people roasting the Netflix MoTU  show and was laughing at them. They get a stellar voice cast that includes Mark Freakin Hamil, beautiful art and animation with a guy who loves the franchise running the show. Meanwhile we get a corporate cash grab disguised as a dark gritty reboot, with modified cad models from the toys for charcter models, that use mediocre animation, and a voice cast that sounds like they really don\'t want to be there. 

 

Stranger Things Voltron & Castlevania All from Netflix all have gotten dvd sets. I Hope Transformers is next.

 

They probably could\'ve done better using fans with some artistic chops, and still come in below budget.

 

I agree, they needed more money. Not enough transforming? Not enough money. Not enough good voice actors? Not enough money. BW couldn\'t even help the trilogy. 

 

all fans wanna do is call this fanfiction because they think their own terrible fan fiction is better and it never is but they think throwing in references and homages left and right make it good. Anytime something comes out it’s people saying “I would have done this” I would have done that” “I would have used this story that’s totally not a rip off of my favorite episode and used this plot point from my favorite story that’s totally original”

 

Come on hasbro we want a real story please don’t make the next series mediocre just give us a series that can be an equal to the old idw.

 

next time can we hand Transformers over to a studio that doesnt' think it has to overcompensate with "dark & serious" tones out of guilt for still enjoying toys meant for seven-year-olds?

The only downside of the OG BW is the CGI (by today's standard),
so I will be overly happy if Hasbro somehow just redo the CGI,

yes the only downside. Certainly not the 3rd season that rushed to the finish line and introduced characters and then killed them off in the next episode or introduced concepts and didn’t explain them then dropped them

 

It's being roasted because Kevin Smith lied, Period.

TFTM 1986 eclipses this show in the "dark and serious" department. It just does it so much better.

 

Beast Megatron's personality change is a big "OH NO" Great, now I have to watch it just to see how fucking awful it'll be.

 

Hopefully the weather is nice next Friday so I can do the same thing I did with Siege. Buy an icy cold 12 pack of adult beverages, sit on my back deck, put on my headphones, and watch Kingdom. By the time I get to the finale, said icy cold 12 pack of adult beverage should make the Kingdom look good regardless if it is or not.

 

This...I had zero expectations, especially on the voices. See, I knew that while it was still possible to get the still surviving voice actors for G1 and BW, I didn't expect Netflix to pull that off at all. I turned it on, knew it would be a different style and take, and found myself enjoying both Siege and Earthrise. I appreciated this review and am stoked for Kingdom.

Somehow multiverse and time travel work really well with TF. I'm really interested how does it look in Kingdom.

Now, that's a very poor logic. Or at least I think it doesn't work really well with TF toys. I'm not a fan of Decepticons, but most of my toys ended up being Decepticons. I have no idea how did that happen  

 

this coming from you who is always bashing IDW comics and whenever someone says if you don’t like them then stop reading them and your response every time is “I have no choice it’s comics I have to read them” makes this ridiculously hilarious

 

Voltron seasons 7 & 8 never got a DVD release, same with She-ra seasons 4 & 5 and Castlevania season 4. Not sure what the Netflix model is, but it seems like "advertise early seasons by physical release, then get them to subscribe to see the ending"

 

Season 4 of Castlevania just aired so it's a good year be for it comes to dvd. No one was a real fan of She-Ra. Not having her brother He-man made the show take a big hit. Yes your right about Voltron. Voltron was a great series. WAY Batter then She-ra. BUT Transformers only has the 6 eps a season for only 3 Very small seasons.

 

I agree that we deserve better content in shows and movies but unfortunately if a poorly written movie makes billions Hasbro/movie studio doesn't care. I'm just Glad Hasbro gave us some Beast Wars stuff after pretending it didn't exist since the live movies started.

 

pretty sure they haven’t pretended since cheetor has popped up quite a bit and before even kingdom we got a lot beast wars characters revisited in generations toyline since 2008 plus them getting some spotlights in some mobile and card games too.

 

I really hope that this is like power of the primes in a way, the first 2 series were bad but the last series is actually good or at the very least decent. I’m really looking forward to seeing the multiverse thing and galvatron.
