Anyone who reads my posts knows that the thing I whinge about the most is too much G1, Transformers being too old-school. But that isn't even what I was talking about, I was talking about it just being amusing that he's going to an online appearance at the same time that he's not returning to the role. Likely because of Hasbro and/or Paramount.

And the point you're making here about Transformers needing to evolve is one I agree with.

 

It comes down to the fact that Cullen was able to return to the role of Prime, so Chalk should have been able to return to the role of Primal.
