So.... I've got to say I'm a bit disappointed with this...:(

A few observations from my copy...

    1) His gun is far too big for me - inbetween this and the original would be perfect
    2) The shins and leg pieces on mine are a completely different colour to the arms, hands and gun - tey almost look dirty. Really disappointed in that.
    3) Due to the size, his gun also feels far too heavy too me... I'm going to need to try and slightly bend the peg in my white primes elbow joints to stiffen them up - pain in the arse there.
    4) I do like the way it fits together although the forearm section is fiddly due to the way Primes arms sit... needs a bit of messing with to get in in properly.
    5) Love the size - to me its spot on.

Not had a chance to put in transporter mode yet... guessing that will be quite fiddly to do as well.

Overall, when I look at the fact this set in total has cost me best part of £70 I almost wish I'd just either kept the original (which I sold) or just bought the MFT.

I bought my son the CP(??) even larger Magnus so it'll be interesting to see how he compares to him size wise...

So yeah... based on my copy I really don't think it was worth the money to get a white prime and then this sadly...:(  :(

I did not get it because of all the extra parts I will be paying for and never use.
Now looking at these pics I can tell the MFT is taller and I will stick to that, I do not care about alt mode, so that is very easy for me.

MFT version it's excellent. The MST Magnus seems to be meant as the Toy Version, no the Cartoon version, you can keep both, sometimes it's better.

I really love MFT version in bot form (I'm gonna buy the last one with the new colours), but the truck form is absurdly small, that's why I bought MST.

Thanks for the great pics, @Huub. Is the lighter blue Transporter the MST, MFT or CP one?

This v2 Magnus certainly won't be the version for everyone. Mine also has the slightly different colored shins. It doesn't bother me that much, but I can totally understand why it could be a turn off for someone else.

For me it's as much the cost side of things - for the amount spent maybe I'm expecting a bit too much. Like I say I love the proportions and size of it - to me it's spot on.

From your pictures your shins don't look as different as mine do.. but I'm sure they do in hand. It's also the fact that mine appear to have dirty smudges in the left one - very strange.

Maybe it'll grow on me over time - some figures have done that for me in the past so you never know! :)

    Just for scale.
    MFT vs the V2 Magnus.

I really like the MFT better in headsculpt compared to MS v1 + matrix chamber.
Too bad MS did not do V2 in a way, you would only transform Prime's lower body for the leg shells and the cab tabs in to the rest, a bit like the toy.
So most of the trailer would transform in to the upper body.
I also like the lighter colour since I had Magnus as a kid and he was that way as a toy.

I guess that showz shipping wasn’t that bad, just got mine today too. The biggest drawback to me is definitely the hindered hip articulation. But damn, he sure does look good and will be retiring MS V1 and MFT KO from the shelf.

    Here’s a pic of all 3 together:

nice pics guys they are great.

but luckily for me i still love MS mags. i am not really seeing enough in these pics to sway me one way or the other.

the reason i got rid of MFT mags was because he felt a little too big. i surely dont want to get back into the size for 4 times the price.

I don’t have an issue with the price because you also get an arctic prime that looks really cool and is fun to mess with as well.

But if someone doesn’t like to mess with the various modes and just wants to put on the shelf and not touch it, then yeah it’s pricey.

This new one is the closest to how I’ve always seen Mags, big and bulky.

oh i love fiddling with my bots. but since there new v2 is right around the corner it is really stopping me from grabbing anymore of these prime molds. hell i even held off on the new clear windows prime for that very reason.

With all 3 are together, it's clearly MS V1 is obsoleted IMHO. Then again, I was never fond of MS v1 mainly of that awful face sculpt and as nitpicky the white portion on the bottom of the inner leg bother me too. MS v2 and MFT v2 seems to be on par with one another but I'll give MS v2 the upper edge for 3 personal preferences. 1, I'm a huge fan of the Armor UM. 2, The finish alt.mode on MS v2 kills MFT v2 in both proportion/size and aesthetic. Also, in toon alt.mode missile launcher configuration, I hate the looks on the front of the trailer as there is just a hole in both MS v1 and MF v2. 3, Love the MS v2 overall proportion and especially chest design which looks very similar to MP22. Having that horizontal bevel/band helps to make that square/"glass window" looks recess and more interesting. My only nitpicky, it's too bad they didn't make the glass window as transparency. On the flip side, I love MFT UM v2 face/head more than MS v2.

It does have a bit of a transparent finish over the chest, but it’s hard to pick up on camera.

I actually think MS V2 has the best face sculpt of the three, but maybe I’m the only one.

Thanks! That's the close up photo that I want to see on his chest window. I'm glad it's a different shade of red to show it's a different material. Very happy to know it has some sort of transparent finish. As for the MS v2 face, I'm just basing on the angle of your photo. Maybe it looks better once I see it in person.

Ordered from Show.Z, 8 days to delivery on the US east coast. Pleasant surprise to get it so quickly (especially since I have other Show.Z orders that shipped before it that I'm still waiting to receive). Fun little kit even if the partsforming is definitely on the extreme side. Some photos:

If there was any doubt, the kit works just fine with the other figures of the same mold (and arguably better with the Optimus figure, since the colors match):

    And well... why not:

Not sure where to post this, looking for a legends UM but I don’t think this guy is it. Which versions scale with the standard NA/MS figs?

That reminds me of my old pic when MP22 first came out and I was having fun with MP22 faces. Back then I wish they give the white Magnus a full head so I can display like that.
