There are 6-10 Arcees at every Walmart around me. Every time I go I'll look at all of them to see if any them don't have horrible paint. Never seen one. I also pre-ordered and returned one. Mine had an extremely bent helmet crest. It was like someone glued it on at a 45 degree angle.

I am so confused by the textured fur. Its got to be easier to model something closer to the toon. And a set of beast wars figures that looked toon accurate would have been so money for Hasbro. Whoever is making these decisions needs to be replaced. The whole line has choices that make no sense. Battle damage on Bee, gray blast effects on Arcee, and a Primal that has very little difference from the Kingdom figure.

When the line was announced I was worried about needing display space for them. So I guess I lucked out that they are so easy to skip.

I hate tjis damn line. Id rather walmart had just invested in more weird repaints like the netflix line. At least those were cool. These just suck. Why would anyone want this primal when they can get one that looks exactly the same and transforms for $10 more ?

Prime Arcee from Legacy, not Prime Arcee from RED. It was poorly phrased, what I mean is, why release them in RED when they're slated for release as transforming toys?
Primal at Deluxe price SORT OF makes sense, because his Kingdom toy is a Voyager. But RED Arcee is a poor substitute for a Legacy Arcee at (roughly) the same price.

Anyone with a Unicron should be going gaga over that Megs.

Really dig the Primal, even if he's really redundant.

That's a point I didn't even take into consideration: RED is a line specifically designed to give us screen accurate figures. That's the whole point and they failed! If they do Rumble and Frenzy in those scales I will be so pissed.

I have a Unicron and I have zero interest. Now if they make Kingdom Galvatron in translucent plastic without the reformatting lines, ill be all over it. I wouldnt want Seige or Earthrise Megatron in translucent plastic because the tabs would all crack after one transformation.

never understood the appeal of non-transforming figures, especially these guys. There are two better Primals out right now, and they transform!

Still waiting for this line to give us anything that couldn't/hasn't been done in CHUG.

I'm sorry, but Pretenders are absolutely perfect for this line. I know I'd buy those.

But yes, I also believe they are completely missing their mark with Primal. I only have Optimus and my son gave me Cheator for father's day. Optimus is weirdly loose, but Cheator is fantastic.

    Edit;

Here he is with his favorite action figure

And here he's playing with himself

The R.E.D. line has its issues to be sure, but you can still have fun with them. But seriously, Pretenders were made for this kind of line. In my mind its a complete waste to leave them out of it.

    I don't get the aesthetic---

It looks like a mix of MP (Kneepad design etc), and Kingdom (realistic fur), but it's kinda competing with the Voyager Kingdom, and it's non-transformable, and looks closely similar to Kingdom?

I mean, with Cheetor I can see his plus, but with Primal...

Hmm, im curious, in what ways could this version of Primal be better than Kingdom Primal? Based on the images and looking at the joints, it doesn't appear to be more posable from what I can tell of course I could be wrong, the shoulder mounted blasters look like they'd be able to fold completely behind and act as jets

I found RED Arcee to be so, so disappointing. Frail, loose, and the swooshy effects parts weren\'t even the right color.
I was big on supporting the line but I\'m going to spend my money elsewhere.

The line is completely aimless and such a disappointment. Absolutely no direction.

G1 Megs, Optimus, Soundwave (albeit with incorrect paint apps) and Prime Arcee are very show accurate. Bumblebee, Starscream and Cheetor are these weird hybrid designs, and now Primal looks like he’s based on the Kingdom toy. Never mind the fact that there is no consistent scale between any of them.

I was really excited about the concept but it has just been one giant fucking letdown.

I completely agree about the Pretenders. Unfortunately, what makes sense for collectors doesn't always make sense for the average consumer. A casual passerby is more likely to pick up an A-list Transformers character than someone like Rad or Jackpot. The line's goal has always been focused on screen accurate figures of popular characters because that's what sells to the wider audience (at least that's what Hasbro believes). It sucks because this line has so much potential for obscure goodness. At least Super 7 is coming through on that end.

Agree, at first I thought is gonna be like StarWars Black series quality or maybe Marvel but after buying the first Prime, the materials and the design in this RED series are pure garbage.

I didn't know there was a Prime Arcee coming out soon. Hope it's good. I've had to settle for the "Beast Hunters" version, and she sucks...

She's already out. You should be able to find her and Cheetor at most Walmarts.

So Takara is listing an MP55 Nightbird, that is an Arcee remold, and it's the absolute perfect candidate for this series.

I'd definitely buy a R.E.D. release of her.
