the book is not for me but I do love seeing Minerva get some page time. Nice to see obscure guys too like Circuit with his armor.

 

Honestly I'm more interested in an entirely new roster. I like Kup and Springer and co but it's cool seeing a fully new team.

Despite growing up on Marvel UK, I never liked the Wreckers until Last Stand, mainly because it featured new characters.

I didn't like Roadbuster, Rack 'n' Ruin or Whirl because their faces were unexpressive and uninteresting to me.

I've always hated Kup so making him a Wrecker in IDW1 and Regeneration just annoyed me.

I do like this new lineup apart from Aileron. Be nice to see Thunderclash and Stepper get some of the spotlight.

 

Whirl was the best character of More Than Meets The Eye. He was very expressive and interesting.

 

I agree he was great in MTMTE but not in previous incarnations.

 

That's true. He was a nobody before MTMTE. But his inclusion MTMTE makes up for years of neglect and makes him the definitive version of what Whirl should be like. He was still a nobody in the Regeneration One and '84 books which came after MTMTE.

I hope this means we\'re getting new Thunderclash and Minerva figures from HasTak. I really like their designs, and I feel like they would sell pretty well.

 

minerva might be getting a toy, as that seems to be the only thin she could be, th design is definitly a toy, but it not the g1 toy

Nobody is saying you can't have an opinion. But it is universally accepted wisdom that an opinion formed from insufficient evidence is the most likely to be in need of reassessment and therefore too hasty to be considered reliable.

 

I’m not very familiar with the character, so I don’t know. Maybe she did something in IDW 1 that people didn’t really like. I say it’s a new version of her, so she should at least be given a chance.

Seriously though, other than maybe just general dislike for IDW OCs I have no idea.

 

I have nothing personal against her. I just get tired of them making brand new characters without toys. I wish they’d coordinate with Hasbro more or use existing characters to fill similar roles. We already had a bunch of non-toy characters before and now it’s just getting out of hand.

Anyway… wouldn’t it be a cool nod if these guys were ALL Generations Selects figures? Two of them are already (Hot Shot and Stepper). Minerva is very toyetic and could easily be a retool of the already rumored Nightbeat. Thunderclash could be a Selects repaint of a possible Machine Wars Optimus (they need to keep cranking out different Optimi in the future since ER is now the quintessential G1 Prime). Circuit could be a repaint of a potential Axer or even Lockdown. That just leave Aileron… no idea.
