Possibly, but that's not a reissue by FT. It's a restock by BBTS. Big difference, and the post above mine specifically called it a reissue.

If BBTS are calling things limited edition, and implying reissues that aren't, then that's poor form from one of the better retailers out there.

Jesus Christ, those prices. Why would anyone ever buy anything from BBTS? I can find at least three reputable sources where both figures are MUCH cheaper, even with shipping costs to the U.S. factored in.

A lot of these are just random bumped up restocks and not proper reissues. Which is why figures like Kup, Skyfire and Cyclonus are now $220, $350 and $320 rather than their original $160, $260 and $280, Warpath and Brawn though I believe are either the same or were just never marked as arrived in their system, i'm not certain.

And people wonder why retailers get heat sometimes. They’ve probably been sat on them since the original PO waiting to add an extra % because they know they can.

There’s nothing “Limited Edition” about it.

Yeah. Sounds like something Swindle would do.

Possible but not likely. Sitting on the stock costs money as it eats up space in the warehouse. The retailers might come out even as opposed to making a huge profit. And there is always the risk that the price people are willing to pay goes down. That makes selling the products even harder...

The reason it doesn’t make sense to me; I just would find it odd that most of the N American retailers are doing the same unfortunate consumer practice. Like they all got together and decided to drive up the prices and have “limited stock”.

Who knows? I do love a good conspiracy.

Not to defend fake scarcity, since if that actually is the case, that's bad, rather to explain a bit of what happens behind the curtain so-to-speak: The naming often comes directly from the pre-order solicitation. Retailers will often just copy/paste the name of the product from the solicitation email, as they have no idea whether the retailer or distributor calling it "Product Name Limited Edition" is literally true or marketing speak or incorrect, so they are going to list it word for word to stay consistent and if it turns out another edition comes later, theirs are labeled correctly.

Could just be BBTS saw what TFSource was doing and decided they wanted some extra cash.

    BBTS + TFSource = BBTFS.

Next, they'll acquire TFS Express to become BBTFS Express. Expect to see things go downhill super fast.

Higher prices fine with me, separates the men from the boys. I'll happily pay an extra $50 or $100 for the convenience of an easy PO. Order it, done. Much better than dicking around with China sellers or endlessly spamming reload hoping one of the guys that PO'd 10 cancel one of em. What I really wish BBTS would do is take a freaking nonrefundable deposit. Make all the jerks who spam PO everything think twice.

    Here and here and here.

Always keep an eye on AliExpress as they sometimes have very good sales, Smokey was $115,- there a month ago.

The difference between men and boys is $50-$100? Health class got it way wrong.
