Yeah I just cancelled my order, it's not worth $200 at all. Not even if it was the idw mtmte/LL verison I would want. Hope other companies don't follow this tread of a massive price jump. But I really don't think there's any figure I would ever pay $200+ for.

What's bullshit is they are only offering store credit if you cancel. You took my money, but you won't honor what we agreed upon, and you won't give it back? I'll pay the extra thirty but I won't be shopping with them again.

yeah i swore off TCP when threezero soundwave was delayed without word at the $229 pricepoint but somehow they got "on time" shipments separate from their preorders that were $289. sucks when you wanna support a smaller business but they pull walmart level shit like that.

Same, the only way I would possibly find the price acceptable is if they added parts to turn him into his MTMTE/LL look. and that's why he cost $30 more.

I've noticed their prices edging higher an higher lately. At one point they were charging more than BBTS on certain items, I know they did for MMC's Optus Pexus. I also can't turn off that stupid Roller's Stash thing, so apparently they haven't charged me yet and I've only thought I paid them already. I'm going back to Toy Dojo and BBTS. TCP customer service isn't any better than those two and I've had more trouble with his website and that stupid Roller's Stash than with the other guy's systems.

    I tried.

    I'm done.

Guys, we didn't choose to increase the price ourselves, this is a manufacturer change. Something we have no control over. We don't like to do these things any more than anyone likes to receive it. The simple fact is prices are increasing across the board in China for manufacturing. Not to mention the cost increases we have been absorbing on freight.

@Dek - you can turn your roller's stash off by hitting the roller stash button on your my account page. Don't try to slide the button just tap it with your mouse or your finger if you are on a mobile device.

@Fallout - that did not happen. We filled all pre-orders at the original price and then we purchased another group of units from a secondary source which resulted in the higher price. If you had a pre-order for the second batch then that was entirely different and we could not fill those orders based on the pieces we received from the secondary source because the cost was so much higher.

As far as pricing goes, a general rule of thumb says we should be higher than BBTS on everything considering our volume is nowhere near theirs. We do the absolute best we can go compete in the market.

Feel free to PM me if you have any further questions.

    Thank you,
    Brandon

Damn, the lackluster T.rex head and price increase is quickly killing my hype. What's sad is that all the MP style Dinobots are extra expensive for some reason. All the Grimlocks are over $200.

I was hoping it doesn't happen, but the price increase doesn't surprise me at all. After I saw the size of this figure I thought a price increase is almost inevitable based on everything else we are seeing. Of course I don't like it, and I might consider cancelling it, but I think the $200 price is probably justified.

About the button, I have tapped it and it doesn't work. Could be a glitch.

As for your pricing, being higher that a competitor who is know for gouging prices doesn't seem to be the best move to draw in business. But I'm not in your shoes and don't know the behind the scenes so I can't really tell you how to run your business. I personally feel that if people paid already you should eat the difference, but again, not in your shoes.

I won't openly criticize you anymore, but I still don't think I'll buy from you anymore either. My best to you and your business. You're still better than ToyArena, who really tried to convince me that it was my fault for preordering at the LISTED lower price when I should have know it should have been higher.

I think it is unfair to say any business is gouging prices without knowing their cost basis and details of their business. You certainly cannot compare a US based business to one in China since their is no inbound freight involved or any of the costs associated with running a reputable business in the United States.

We do not require payment up front on pre-orders so if someone chooses to prepay the item that is strictly by choice. If we required the payment up front we would have definitely honored price, but our open pre-order policy allows customers to cancel with no penalty, a feature that very few offer these days.

It size is nothing special, a half inch bigger then mmc mors but thinner, mmc Overlord was $200 when It first came out and that figure is way taller than grimlock. At least by 3 head length. Even mmc tortor his a head taller and Was $180 when it first released and he's massive wide. Cacus is about the same size as MMC Z-def is going to be and that is only $158. So honestly the prices isn't justified, unless it's coming with an add on kit that replaces the hands, chest, head, red inside tail to gold, and shoulder pieces to make it the mtmte/LL verison... then I would be like ok I can understand.

prices are not all about the figure. Shipping internationally right now is 2-3x what it was this time last year.

$200 is reasonable, but a price adjustment after preorders are up is not. This whole thing is leaving a bad taste in my mouth. Hopefully the figure is so nice it will wash the taste away.

I had this preordered with TCP, but just canceled.
I don't blame TCP for the price increase, to me it points to the current times and rising costs, and I could believe it is Planet X increasing its prices, what with FT's prices and all.
I was willing to pay $150 after $15 of prime points, but I don't feel that a Planet X figure is worth $200, as I have only had buyers remorse after every Planet X figure I have purchased.
When it lands and if reviews are extremely positive for this, then I may pick one up, but until then Planet X I won't be paying these prices for your products.
