have you ever considered just hacking at the head with an exacto after the print. that way you can add all the extra details you are wanting.

 

Sure but I can do so much better in Blender. I also considered chopping up the heads from both figures and mashing then together but since the rest of my plans only require destroying the armor, I figured I'd keep the inner robot pristine (plus, my blender work is going to be better than what I could do with the original heads, too).

Also I needed the practice with Blender. I've got a couple of other projects that I've set aside while I level up my sculpting abilities. I think I'm just about ready to take another crack at sculpting a head of hair for another project now.

Jealous. ShowZ has been slow to get stuff to me lately. Like they always ship to me a few days later than others, even when I pre-ordered near the beginning. Mine just hit the States yesterday and it came in through NY so I've got at least a week til I see it. My WLoJ arrived from Baba yesterday, though, so that's nice. I no longer have an excuse to procrastinate printing the head.

 

Yeah, had that a couple of times, ship later than others.. This time it was pretty fast. Could've been even faster, as I got my notice to pick up my package today, but it already was at the post office 3 days ago..  

 

Nice, can't wait to see more pictures with the White Prime fully loaded.

When you got a chance, can you photo a close up shot of the armor chest. I want to see if that coating/glossy effect looks convince enough to mimic the glass window as shown on the box art.

The bot looks beautiful! But, be aware if your Prime has loose arm joints (like mine) than you'll need to fix it for the weight of the huuuge gun  
Putting the armor on is really doable, but the instructions are lacking, so find a video in this thread for much better instructions:

Articulation does suffer of course, but you can definitely get some really cool poses still, for this lumbering behemoth.
He will be a great piece for your display!

yeah, that gun is soooo big. I may just use MS Magnus v1’s gun with Magnus v2.

Yeah mine is in Queens NY too. What the heck is it doing in Queens when I live on the west coast? I paid the shipping charge for the supposedly faster method too. I think they need to change their carriers again now that things are getting better after Covid. Everything else I get from China comes through CA.
