I did a keyword search so I'm pretty confident this hasn't been answered yet :p  What kinda batteries are needed and how many?

Unless I'm not remembering correctly, it only needs 1 battery.

I'd be surprised if you can fit two of them in there.
But I'll find out how many in a bit.

Edit: Indeed. Only one battery fits in the slot.
I wonder how I'm ever gonna get it outa there.
Does it have a beam function and a pulsating function, or does that only happen to mine because I broke that damn button the size of a hair?

Three modes. Constant on, pulsating, off.

is there a reliable place that has this cheap? the $70 price tag stuff scared me off but if he can integrate into a MP display that's damn tempting ...

Bombusbee has the original (brighter) purple for $39.99. Shipping was $7.50ish, or more if you wanted to go faster. That's the cheapest. They're newer, and I only have a couple of preorders with them myself, but others here have done business with them and they seem to be very good.

Otherwise Show.Z and the like still have him for $55 I think. If you only want US retailers, that $70 mark is just about where they're going to price them.

How exactly are you trying to integrate it into an MP collection? Being held in someone’s hand?

Cheers. That question was half in jest, but now I know for certain.

If NA release a voyager sized version and an MP scaled version of this I'd buy both and sell almost all my other Shockwave toys.

Mine just arrived from bombusBee. No issues and pretty fast shipping.

Haven’t transformed him yet but every time I get a new figure from newage I debate whether or not I need any MP figures. Lol.

Painted the eye with some flat Tamiya yellow. It came out great. A little scuffed off when putting it back together but it’s hardly noticeable.

I ordered two of the EX accidentally so I'm selling one at cost (58 bucks plus shipping) if anyone's interested. Never removed from the box. If interested PM.

EX buddies. This newage Starscream ex tops the original IMO. Clear canopy FTW!

Minus the clear plastic eye this figure is amazing!

This and their Bonecrusher & Scavenger came in today and I am absolutely in for Newage going forward!

I tried my hand at painting the eye and everyone wasn’t kidding with how little clearance there is!

I even had a thin clear coat on it and it just rubbed right off. I really wish every single company would stop making poor shockwaves eye with clear plastic.

if you guys are so adamant about painting the eyes. just pop the eye out and chase the hole with a small drill bit. that should remove enough plastic to clear the freshly painted eye.

whenever i paint something that could have clearance issues. i always go out of my way to remove just enough material to make it all work.
