thumbs up for hound, wheeljack, mirage and cliffjumper, along with samurai series bots, and definitely ultra magnus! ;)

So does IF have different lines or is it just a free for all, whatever they want to make? Because at first I thought it was like G1 line and Idw line. Then it turned into adding a line like whatever MMC/OX was doing but in legend scale line. Then amazing Beastwars legend figures line (wishing for more BW), and now a samurai line.

Yeah, they seem to mostly do IDW inspired stuff, but they really just do whatever they feel like at the time. Wonder what's going on right now regarding their Soundwave; I'd love to throw money at it if I got proof that it actually exists.

I hope that their upcoming Grimlock would have optional parts to make him more IDW ( like their version of Megatron).

We’re hoping the samurai bots get retools into IDW form since it likely wouldn’t take much to do so. We need IDW Ratchet and Ironhide too.

As far as I can recall, their only deviation from the main line they do is the Iron Samurai Series. And even that series still uses the same numbering as the main line.
The only releases being Lio Convoy and Bludgeon with more on the way.
Their main line has been heavily influenced by IDW since the beginning. They made no attempt to separate the Optimal Optimus or TM2 Megatron from the main line.

Man you were not kidding. The late tax and availability of older figures is no joke! I wonder if I’ll ever find someone selling IF Tarn nowadays.

You can find Tarn on robotoybase and eBay pretty regularly, you'll just end up spending the better part of $100 to get him one way or another. Robotoybase also has a fair number of older figures, you just won't like the prices they demand due to rarity. Actually put in an order a few months ago for the original Ultra Magnus (mostly for the weapons, tbh), Jazz, Warpath, and the Amethyst recolor of the Seeker mold. With shipping it came out to $285 or so, with shipping being roughly $35 of it. No Tarns are up on eBay at the moment but the spread of completed auctions from the last 4 months is, like, $70 to $125. Robotoybase has them at $100, plus shipping.

IF has never reissued so supply is low. You'll just have to lurk around like a shark around the sales thread. And Facebook has Transformers Legends Toys Only BST which is where I got my Lambros a few years ago

I recommend saving yourself the frustration and just get what's available now. I used to be pretty bitter about joining late until I took it easy. I also got lucky a few times but paid extra haha.

The problem with older Iron Factory figures pricing is that it’s becoming very hard to justify the price, especially if you collect other scale figures.
Take Tarn for example, Iron Factory version you might be able to get one for 125$, yet you can get the MMC version for about the same price (150$). Put them side by side and no one can believe that these 2 figures are in the same price range.
All you can hope for is that IF issue repaint (like upcoming jetfire SG) and get them at launch pricing.

I wonder why IF dosen't do re-releases. I mean the market has changed so much now in the past 5-10 years. A lot more people are into legends scale. I feel they would make a killing re-releases all there stuff with a 2nd run.

It honestly is odd how much money they're just leaving on the table by not doing reprints of their old stuff.

If not re-releases, at least make updated versions of their old figures (like upcoming Soundwave). I would also like to see them do more combiners. I would really like to see their take on Superion and Computron.

Does anybody know if there's a pocket toys version of IF's Ruination?

Unfortunately there is not. All of us hoped but it didn't happen and seems unlikely at this point, since Pocket Toys has been pretty silent for like 2 years already.

Dang, I just broke a part a part that doesn't really affect anything on my Movor and was hoping there would be a cheap one that I could use to replace the piece.

Btw, does anybody know if there's any potential break points to be careful of when handling the IF Bruticus/ Ruination set? Also, did anybody have an issue with trying to get the leg with Armorhide to stand straight and not at an angle below the knee?

Question; what do you guys think of the DJD set and/or Tarnation? I already have Tarn and I like him enough, mostly I liked the character. I'm not sure if I like the other characters enough to shell out the money, so I'm mostly wondering if the quality/playability of the figures alone are worth the purchase along with the combined form.
