No offense, but I think I speak on behalf of a good majority when I say we need to see pics of this so-called Commander Motormaster before we can determine whether or not a Powermaster Optimus Prime/Super Ginrai/God Ginrai could actually be feasible from said Commander Motormaster.
^ I believe he's joking because of how people talk around here and how all of these figure discussion tend to revolve around the belief that everything is a pretool/retool/repaint of something. But the actual point of Commander Class seems to be for Hasbro to do these larger figures who can't easily be tooled out of any other character.
If he's Sunbow based, which leaks suggest, he'd be a cab plugged in to a giant robot body. You know, PMOP. Like, remember how T30 Magnus got retooled in to PMOP despite having nothing in common besides a trailer body and cab in his chest? It's more likely than it's not. Look at any number of recent 3P Motormasters and tell me you can't see a PMOP using similar logic. Some of these things are almost an entire robot with cars hanging off the limbs.
No. He's been banging on this drum quite a bit for a while now. Just like he insisted G1 Megatron was going to turn into Beast Megatron in the Kingdom show. We'll just have to wait and see if it pans out like that, but I really, REALLY don't see it. It's a pretty big stretch to just about everybody else. If he is right, then more power to him, but we won't know till we know.
Yes they're both cabs+trailers that become a big boy, but they do it in completely different ways that share little to no dna, even if Motormaster ends up going the most boring route that 3P masterpieces have done. Even if Motormaster is nothing but a bundle of faux parts to make him sunbow accurate while just being the cab alone, they'd have to completely toss that out for a PMOP cab bot since they'd work in completely different ways, and the trailers would also share little similarities between each other besides the vague "big dude with hole in torso for cab" especially if the trailer is filled with the combiner bits and weapons. So even if they do share parts, it'd either be a bare minimum and practically wouldn't even be a factor, or at least one of them would be a complete and utter mess. And Ultra Magnus > PMOP makes a lot more sense than Motormaster/Menasor > PMOP how is this even an argument have you looked at them??
They are clearly the exact same. See, you can even see Ginrai's tiny truck feet if you squint doing a handstand facing the wall.
He'd post in blue text if he was joking. He's not. If Commander Motormaster is Sunbow based, his cab will be his feet. Look, I know as Hasbro doubters of everything, I know we should assume everything is a "pretool" or mold reuse of everything else, but there's really no reason do go this far. It's not more likely. It's really not.
Motormaster to Ginrai makes no sense unless they want to give us something as botched as PWT PMOP/Ginrai. Ginrai is a Voyager sized robot who combines with his trailer to become an even bigger robot , who combines with another big robot to become an even bigger robot (who then dies and becomes a Lion). You're not pulling off that gimmick with a Motormaster retool who a) has a completely different transformation scheme, b) is engineered to be a combiner torso, and c) doesn't have any sort of inner robot to big robot gimmick. Legends Ginrai was a mess because he was a retool of a retool that was never intended to combine with an additional robot as armor. I don't want another God Ginrai that can't be posed, can't stay together, and has wings on his dang shoulders instead of his back.
I'm still waiting for Commander Class Jetfire to be retooled into Star Saber, as everyone promised me in 2018.
You're right, we don't need a high-quality original dedicated mold Star Saber from Haslab. We deserve just a simple retool. Better yet, just a repaint.
Jetfire would suck as a Star Saber. He's too small and aside from also kind of being a spaceship-type-thing who is also a large dude, they look nothing alike.
i wouldn't say his too small they might be just about the same size, though i can agree with the rest
The Scramble City-style CW Combiners are way undersized. The only Combiners that are properly scaled with the rest of WFC are Devastator and Predaking.
they aren't undersize really, from the looks of it, broadside and jetfire are about the same size, and broadside fought i believe bruticus in season 3
