Still on a Dragon Quest kick after getting all the achievements for DQ XI S, so resumed the game of "Dragon Quest Heroes" I started last year. It's fun so far, it's really great to see fully 3D versions of characters I liked from the 2D era DQ games, but some spots, mainly the escort/protect type stages, are proving to be more of a challenge than I anticipated. Before this game, the only other Warriors type title I played was Fist of the North Star quite a number of years ago.

LEGO Star Wars 3: The Clone Wars
I hit 100% today. Some of the Bounty Hunter missions were easy-peasey (Ahsoka is within five meters of the spawn), some (here's looking at you, Aayla Secura) were absolute bullshit. The gold brick over the Rishi Moon was a pain in the ass, but I finally got it. All that's left is achievement hunting. Had to redo "Castle of Doom" because "What a Rotta!" Didn't pop when I beat it the first time, didn't know "Land-O Calrissian" was a thing until I looked it up. Also didn't know about the one where you force-grip a B2 Super Battle Droid and let it mow through Clankers for you. I've got two more 'cheevos left to unlock, One of them requires beating a story mission without dying (and no using the invincibility cheat), and the other one requires playing arcade mode

 

Star Wars: The Force Unleashed 2

I didn't get to play TFU 2 when it came out, so I finally installed it on my Xbox One and gave it a try. It looks a lot better than the first one, and gameplay is loads better (Force Grip isn't as janky), but holy fuck does the story feel unfulfilling. Three four-hour gaming sessions and I beat the game. I did manage to glitch out the first part of the Vader fight, so that was funny. It's just too bad the deservedly poor reception to the story and the sale of all things Star Wars to Disney dashed any and all plans for a third Force Unleashed

 

I don’t know if this happens to anyone else, but sometimes after I spend a lot of time playing mainly one game, when I’m done I have a hard time deciding what to play next, even if I have a large backlog.

I spent the first 3-4 months this year on Dragon Quest XI. After I finished, I’ve been shifting around from game to game. I finished Castlevania 1, 3, and Belmont’s Revenge in the Anniversary Collection. Just finished Bioshock Remastered, and currently playing Bioshock 2 Remastered, but TBH I just find it kind of boring compared to the first one and it doesn’t hold my interest as well. Also almost done playing through Final Fantasy X.

So I went back to Dragon’s Crown Pro a couple days ago, and I may have finally found my obsession du jour. I had been playing it last year, but then DQXI took over my life so it went unfinished. It does have a couple of small issues that prevent me from giving it a perfect 10, but it is a lot of fun, and the orchestral music is amazing. I love the unique well animated 2D art. I had my ass handed to me last night by a Wraith boss which decimated my team; I’ll have to tackle other missions and get back to that undead bastard.

 

Took a break from Skyward Sword to try to beat the level Tanked Up Trouble in Donkey Kong Country on GBA. I hate this level. I gave up on it months ago but today I finally beat it with 0 lives. I was so relieved once I passed it. Things will be smooth sailing from here on out. I'm coming for you, King K. Rool!

 

I'm dying in Night City, and so I've asked Panam and the Aldecados to come help me storm Arasaka Tower. I'm told that this is the endgame, and although I'll be sad to leave Night City, it's been almost 70 hours, and driving around with terrible car physics has literally been driving me crazy.

 

I really enjoyed Cyberpunk, and only ran into one game-breaker glitch that got patched out a couple of days later (I played at release). I'm tempted to go back and play through again with one of the other starter points

A YouTube video about the Outer Worlds showed up on my feed so I watched it and it made me wanna start another playthrough so that's what I'm doing.

This time I'm Dirk Diggler, and I'm playing as a mercenary who works for whoever is paying him the most although he was just enough of a morale compass to do the right thing in a shitty situation.

 

Played a little of Metroid Fusion today. Just beat Ridley so I'm close to the end. But I'm not because I'm gonna do a 100% item collecting.

Got the 100% item in Metroid Fusion. Too bad it took me 32 hours to accomplish. I don't have the skill to finish it under 2 yours. But I do know how the best ending looks thanks to YouTube.

I'm stuck between Skyward Sword HD and GBA DKC.

I'm annoyed, I'm trying to go back and get the DK Koins I missed, and Kiddy 's water skip isn't going high enough in Riverside Race. I also keep getting fried in Lightning Lookout.
