I think the reason why some people hate Animated and Prime is that the enjoyers of the show overrate it. Audiences may be disappointed when they realise that the show isn't as good as others make it out to be.

I mean, that's true of every single Western TF show and I'm saying that as a fan of Beast Wars, Animated and Prime! Yes all three are quite good. However they are not perfect and they might not suit the taste of some people. Same with Generation 1 too. That said, when those shows have their good moments they can be really good.

Are you actively denying the excessive toxicity in the fandoms of star wars or teen titans or star trek? I mean lets not act as if the star wars fandom was ever this pure beacon of peace and tranquility when they almost bullied multiple people into suicide like the actor of jar jar or how they actively and happily forced people of social platforms while openly parading and celebrating doing what they did. Im all for creators and writers snapping back at entitled shit lords who think their opinions are somehow worth leaving their brains through their mouths. Even the chill star wars fans and content creators have called out the toxicity that is VERY rampant in its community, theres a reason why the saying "no one hates star wars more than star wars fans" will never age poorly.

And this aint some Alt right vs left bullshit as for example with the new loki show, the marvel stans (teenage white girls) attacked the writers and directors because of a ship that did not happen and now theyre spreading misinformation on tik tok. Creators should and happily snap back against bull shit because you people dont treat them as human beings with the capacity for feelings, thinking, or self worth, that theyre mindless robots that will do what ever corporate demands from them.

I dont hate posts, after all this is a place for unpopular opinions, but if youre gonna label me as a woke whiteknight then youre doing the exact thing that you accuse the creators and defenders of "doing".

Um, I've seen and been in the Star Wars fandom. My experience with the Transformers fandom is not even close, so that I'll say is very false.

Comparing the two, I'm far more comfortable being with the Transformers fandom than I am the other. The difference between them is astronomical.

I dont even know who the hell Rebeltaxi is considering I actually looked into this god damn topic so i know im more qualified to talk on this subject than you, I dont bring up bullshit accusations for the fun of it.

The term cal arts style is still dumb as hell when most of the people that were accused of the cal arts style didnt even go to cal arts in the first place like Rebecca sugar or Daron Nefcy. I cant comment on whether calarts has been detrimental to stylistic animation because I dont go there and neither do you, while yes those who came out of the character animation department have similar styles, there are other reasons as to why a show looks a certain why, like network interference and brand unity, the very thing we are facing in transformers right now. There are plenty of animators with original styles for their shows that came from Cal arts. I dont like cal arts primarily because of how detrimental they are towards the feild where alot of people my age think that they NEED to go there to get a job in the industry.

Honeslty have you looked into the history of John K? Like how he got kicked out of cal arts or his problematic behavior on the ren and stimpy show?

Optimus Prime would look pretty good with red eyes like the powermaster toy, and G1 Galvatron's alternate mode is stupid in every way, being one of if not the most impractical alt mode in the entire franchise.

It's just an objectively worse tank. It's a gun, that moves slowly. Why even bother transforming? He loses mobility and the ability to properly aim, since the cannon is on his arm and functions perfectly fine, there's not even the potential tactical advantage to it the G1 Megatron gun mode has, being able to be smuggled into places super easily and in stuff like marvel control those who wield him. It's too dumb to be cool or practical, and it's not dumb enough to be campy and fun, which is why I balk anytime someone suggests a gun turret/cannon alternate mode for him or Megs.
