I was rewatching the '86 movie, and I was reminded of how good the music in this movie is. Wanted to put together a quick poll since I'm curious about which songs people liked the best.

I voted Dare. Total bop. Lion's cover of the main theme is really good too.

They're all good, cheesy stuff, but Instruments of Destruction is just such a good track.

All of it. I love 80's hair metal, and the rock version of the theme is awesome.

While Dare has always been my favourite, there isn't a song from the movie that I don't love.

That darn Lion version of the Transformers theme. In the opening credits, when the camera goes through the "O" in movie and it has the robotic-sounding voice, as a kid, I thought that was awesome.

Instruments of Destruction. It's decently heavy and the Decepticons were kind of winning to it. That's all I could ask for in a song.

“Nothing’s Gonna Stand In Our Way” That one was great.

But Lion’s cover of the theme really takes it. That always gets me hyped. It’s like… just imagine. You’re in a metal rock band and this toy company comes to you and says “hey, Metal Band, we need you to do our theme song…. For a cartoon about toys that turn into stuff.” And you reply “Hell yeah,” and without any sense of irony or sarcasm, bust out the single most metal, hard rocking version of a kids cartoon song that you can.

I have no idea if that’s how they approached it or if they even cared, but that’s just the image I have in my mind. Like, they could’ve just taken Hasbro’s money and phoned it in, but instead it’s like they made it their mission to make this little theme song as badass as it could possibly be. Gotta love that.

Yah, the CBS Saturday Supercade vortex was cool. I always wondered why they copied it?

Including all Stan Bush, my pick is a tie between U Got the Touch, and 'Till All Are 1. 1 of the most beautiful songs I've ever heard.
