I can't outright verify this as true, but it seems someone has managed to get more close camera shots of what Optimus' truck mode is going to look like in the movie. The tweet according to the translator says "Transformers: Rise of the Beasts - I photographed the Optimus Prime truck close to filming in Montreal, Quebec,Canada 4 Images of similar but different view Out of respect for the production, and to avoid too many curious people, I won't say the filming locations, that's understandable". From what the shots show, Prime is apparently the same model Freightliner he was from the Bumblebee Movie, albeit with the extra bits like the grill and the silver bowtie visor.

My genuine takeaway... I kind of wish he was at least a sleeper cabover to beef up that cab size, or at least incorporated that Cab Rack from the SS-38 into this model.... I do wonder how the kibble will look on the final design and how he'll transform, though.

The pictures with watermarks are his. I do not know the source of the other image, but it was taken at the same location the first videos of Bumblebee and Optimus were taken at.

He was a flat nose, but in no way was G1.

But it is a good point to bring up in regards to people for some reason freaking out I’ve think being a flat nose.

Second pic is definitely Optimus, as the Porsche has the autobot badge on there.

Right, but he didn't take that picture or the other one in that post. No idea where they originated from.

Anyways, if they didn't already film at the homeless camp and everyone just missed it, than we might be seeing more pictures of Optimus at that set in the next few days. He's parked right next to it for now, I believe. I really wish I was there; seems like a nice place to take photos of the truck.

Yes, it would also put more visibility on the voice actors. In past movies, they were there, but not there at the same time. There was rarely any interviews with actors voicing Transformers. You had to basically wait for the movie to learn about the character while actors playing humans had a lot going on during pre-release. We have Peter Cullen and Ron Perlman in the cast, I'd love if they and their characters got some spotlight before the movie.

Yeah I doubt it. And if it is it'll be more broken up. Looks too simplistic for how they do things in the live action movies with the whole bullbar just sitting on the chest. Nice bash though!

It's a Canada Post van. I think they were trying to disguise Optimus as one of their vehicles.

 

Ironhide has never been a mail truck or been in Canada before,
could be interesting

The grill really adds a lot.

 

looks great, except that personally I like the bee movie abs better.. abs is where the torso move, should be muscle mechanism not a rigid grill..

and the bumper end up on his upper arms is also make sense, since that's where the truck's headlight is located on bot mode..
