So I bought a extra siege Megatron a while back to swap heads with my Earthrise Megatron because of Earthrise's hideous Herman Munster head, but the Earthrise weapons have always bothered me. The arm sword is lazy and lacks any real fun way to wield it other than on his arm. I tried a couple weapon mods shared by other modders here on the site but none of them were quite what I was looking for, or I had trouble getting them made. So then I was thinking, why not just stick the Siege turret on the Earthrise toy? Turns out all that really involved was swapping out the back of the upper arms. Unfortunately I couldn't use the Earthrise arm canon because it's got a little nub on the front that stops the Siege turret/sword from going all the way in. All in all, I'm happy with the result.
That looks really good for such a simple idea. It's a shame about the Earthrise Fusion Cannon, though. Really, it's just a shame they couldn't have done something better with that atrocious spear weapon.
Man, if they had just put a long 5mm port at the base of the hilt, so you can run it through the hand, and plug the rest of the barrel at the end of the hand and make some sort of glaive or spear, it would have been a million times better. It would have still been weird and chunky, and if its a parts count issue, get rid of that useless black piece at the rear of the tank.
Can you use the earthrise turret on seige Megatrons vehicle mode or are there enough changes to that area that it won't fit?
If you wanted to go the other way like that. He would need to take the Earthrise turret, upper arms, and arm cannon and swap them over
So I ended up buying that overpriced foot upgrade kit for the Earthrise mold just because doing this swap means I don't really use that black filler plate anymore. It's not the most elegant solution or the most cost effective but it does fill the gap.
