Jolt doesn't have the wrong background. He merely operated the camera during the Battle of Chicago.

After ROTF, Jolt realized he wasn't cut out for being a solider and instead he found inspiration after bringing Optimus back to life. He is a creator, not a soldier. Bowling For Cybertron is his first award-winning documentary.

Was thinking about getting Grindor. Saw him at Target yesterday, but decided to pass.

Too bad they couldnt have given him anew head. I’d also like to see them revisit wreckage in a voyager/leader class.

 

So ROTF Bee is just a repack of what we alreasy got in the Buzzworthy line ? Or any additional paint apps ? Anyways, Im glad these are coming soon. Im a big fan of Bayverse. Hope there are some reveals that didnt get leaked.

I bowed out of the Bay-Verse side of the Studio Series but I remember being tempted multiple times by Blackout when he was on the shelves. I'm not going to out and pre-order Grindor but if I ever see him on shelves, I will take a good look at him before deciding whether to pick him up or not. The one thing I do love about the mold is how awesome that helicopter mode is. Bumblebee doesn't really do much for me, and I was never a big Jolt fan so I will pass on these two.

Now the BB seeker mold, I do admit is a pretty awesome mold. I picked up BB Starscream a few weeks ago on a whim and was really happy with him. I don't plan on going all out on this seeker mold though like I do with Siege and Earthrise. I will probably pass on SS BB Thrust, but I admit, it's a pretty interesting move to base the paint on Armada Thrust instead of G1 Thrust. Hopefully we will see a Skywarp repaint though.

 

There was literally no reason why these shouldnt have been excluded from the fan first Friday that happened in may, this was a crappy "reveal"

Its not really a reveal considering we've known for a while about grindor. Bumblebee and jolt. Indeed some folk have been able to get grindor already.

Not sure the point of this but hey put them up for preorder so I can get them.

 

I\'m only getting Jolt out of this wave. His figure looks wacky enough for me to buy, but\'ll look odd since the rest of my Bayverse shelf is DoTM figures. Bumblebee is the easiest pass, even if he includes Sam. Grindor isn\'t worth it since I already have the DoTM version of Blackout, but I like that he has jointed fingers. Thrust is a pass, even if he homages Armada Thrust, because he\'s just there. Nothing about him is above average in my opinion. 

 

Yeah, I'm sorry, I don't want to be that guy, but why are we just getting "confirmation" of these now? Grinder has been on shelves for weeks, Jolt and Thrust have both leaked weeks ago and are now in several people's hands, albeit by ill gotten means in all likelihood, and Bumblebee... Well, I'll be honest, I don't remember if we've seen him or not. These SS Bumblebees are all starting to blurt together for me. Not only that, but there's still stuff we aren't seeing, like Sideswipe. We've known about all of these figures for months now. I'm not gonna come out and say "why didn't we see these at the Fan First Friday back in May", because there's a possibility that they weren't ready yet. But I will ask why the hell they didn't reveal these weeks ago? Maybe try and get a leg up on the leakers for once?

I'll be completely honest, I don't think they really care at this point. Not in a "ugh, they don't even bother anymore", but rather in a beauricratic way. Like, are leaks gonna take away from their sales at all? No. Will they build hype for figures? Yes. Is it essentially free marketing at the cost of a handful of facoty samples? Yes. In the last FFF, the designers seemed upset about the leaks, but I wonder if the company itself is embracing them?

 

Leaks are publicity either way for hasbro. It gets fans talking. Hasbro should tighten up things if they really want to keep things secret but I wonder if they are that bothered.

Would it have killed them to make a Battle Mask-less Bumblebee head for one of the plentiful releases of the mold?

While I agree that Hasbro could have done this announcement months ago, I don’t agree that all of these figures should have been given their own fan first Friday stream.

There is only one brand new figure with Jolt, the rest are a remold (thrust who was in the film for 4 seconds), a redeco (grindor who is packaged with ravage for some random reason) and a repackage (bumblebee that is an exact repackage of the buzzworthy line which itself is a repackage of the FIFTH bumblebee in SS). Maybe even the designers were not excited to talk about toys that were originally released years ago.
