No SS Twins? No problem for me!

This is me but unironically. I’ve had to throw figures out of my display simply because they’re one cm too big.

 

wait so devcon is gonna happen afterall? i thought hasbrp scrapped the idea because of the parts count and complexity?

 

OK so I actually rewatched rotf in its entirety recently for the first time in many years, and I gotta say it was a fun time. You just kinda have to go with it, but there are some amazing fight scenes, touching character moments, and some shit we will never ever see again in live action. The plot is definitely way overburdened, and honestly the fallen didn't even need to be in it, nor did the twins. I'd say devastator is the film's greatest triumph and also it's biggest letdown. It's an amazing sequence and an amazing setup with an amazing design that.....goes absolutely nowhere.

 

Better late than never but Hastak finally officially posted about Grindor, Jolt, ROTF Bee and Thrust.

The more I look at Jolt the more I like him, well except for the panels on his legs. The ones on the shoulders I can live with.

 

I do have the ice cream Twins.

Why has Jolt got a backdrop from the DOTM final battle?

 

He probably was supposed to be in DOTM during the planning stage. But they ending up having Shockwave kill him in prequel comics.

 

That's not true, The Fallen was the one who could activate the Sun Eater.

And the Twins were the reason the Tomb of the Primes was found, albeit unintentionally it still wouldn't have been found without them and the insertion of any other autobot in that instance wouldn't have lead to the same result.

Fan favorites like Sideswipe, the Arcee Sisters, and Devastator (Not the Constructicons) could be removed from the movie with no actual impact to the plot.

Because he was there. When Wheelie and Brains heroically sacrificed themselves he was there. When the Wreckers freed Optimus he was there. When Sam scrapped Starscream he was there.

So the next time you judge the character on his lack of any spoken words just remember.

HE WAS THERE.

 

It's about damn time Hasbro revealed them. I suppose sideswipe will be out in wave 4 of the year.

Jolt has always been in dotm! He is there so many times that I don't even know what is real anymore. My mans just there, hiding and lurking among the shadows, ready to zap whenever the camera pans away.

 

Welp I was completely wrong about jolts background being a scene from a movie JOLTS ACTUALLY IN. Leave it to the supreme intelligence of habro.

 

The worst thing about the backdrop is that it has ROTF's titles on it

It’s just bizarre that this is how they revealed them when they had a fab first Friday to reveal the other figures in the wave and it only wound up being for four figures. Even the argument that ‘well it was for the 86 movie only’ doesn’t wash because they showed shattered glass Starscream.

 

Seems like they're not even bothering to put pre orders out for the live action SS figures in this wave.

 

Hopefully Studio Series Sunday becomes a reoccurring thing

A little late to use the "planning stage" excuse, no?  

No, anyone with the Matrix could have done that. Also, from a storytelling perspective the fallen wasn't really that important to the story aside from things that happened millions of years ago. Honestly they should have just had the constructicons go to revive Megatron, then he reveals that some of the knowledge of the fallen/primes and the sun harvester was imparted to him by the allspark that he was killed by, and he leads the cons to the pyramids. Also, the twins could have been replaced with the arcees and sideswipe so the other new (and better) characters could have gotten SOMEthing to do besides "show up for a cool action scene". This would have been a cleaner movie.

 

Why did they not reveal sideswipe?

 

My guess is that he is part of the next wave

 

Now that we got our official reveals for the next wave, it's just the matter of preorders now. I know we have this.
