This is just me speaking from a personal standpoint. But the two absolute worsts were the nitro bumblebee from dark of the Moon and Slash from the last night. And I'd say slash was even worse.

SS helicopter Dropkick was pretty bad as far as recent toys go. RotF Tuner Mudflap was another prevalent one I remember.

Thrilling 30 rattrap. One walmart in the KC area had about a dozen of them on pegs until just 2 or 3 years ago. Right now I'd say Kingdom Arcee and Studio Series Starscream

Gotta be Transquito, I was still seeing some of him on shelf during the Unicron Trilogy days at multiple TRUs.

Combiner Wars had some real stinkers too. Dragstrip leaps to mind immediately. As does skydive. Scattershot was really bad too. And how could anyone forget the orange tide of Sentinel Prime during TR? Also, I dunno if this was true everywhere, but after a lengthy delay of waiting for TR wave 3 to hit, Wal-Mart restocked... With a giant gondola of Wave 2. You guys think SS Blurr is bad? We were swimming in TR Blurr til midway through PotP, and I'm pretty sure they just got sent back to the supplier. I think one Wal-mart pretty much quit selling TFs because of that shenanigans.

The entirety of Studio Series Deluxe wave 6. Ironic, given that Scrapmetal ended up inflating in price so much on the aftermarket. I guess folks just weren't initially committed to collecting an entire Devastator's worth of SS Constructicons - and they presumably changed their minds once they realized Hasbro was gonna actually pull it off.

Oh, and TLK Berserker, which the local wal-mart couldn't even sell for 5 fucking dollars. Totally understandable, given that the figure is the worst piece of plastic shit I've ever handled. And I'm not usually this hard on transformers toys, so that's saying something.

    Transformers Unicron Trilogy Armada Laserbeak.

In the UK, he sat on shelves en masse in main highstreet retail shops from launch in 2002 until the Transformers 2007 movie was out. That was even at heavily discounted prices.

I would still find shelves of him in the discounters in 2013-2015 when generations was in full swing.

There have been lots of shelf warmers over the years but nothing compared to this guy.

In the UK a lot of Beast Wars, Beast Machines and Transmetal figures were fully available until 2005/06 in the highstreet discount toyshops and popping up general retail too. Supreme Cheetor, Tankor and Jetstorm plus Optimal Optimus were the last ones standing if I recall correctly.

Nothing beats Armada Laserbeak though. Even now brand new ones on ebay still only get between £10-£15 when they come up.

Arcee and that gigantic Cyberverse Shockwave. Every store I’ve gone to lately solely has at least 3 Arcees from Kingdom, 3 more from Cyberverse, and about 6 of the Shockwaves.

I'd have to go with any bumblebee (excluding FE) released in 2011-2012 as the worst I've ever seen. The tuner repaints of the twins were notoriously terrible as well.

Why, the true answer is "the one at my particular store that I didn't want to buy."

In my time since getting back into Transformers collecting, the following felt like Shelfwarmers to me

-T30 Scoop, Rattrap, Minicon Combiner and Rhinox
-The Wave 4 and 6 CW deluxes, Leader Skywarp (at Target only)
-Most TR Titan Masters, Stripes, Rewind, Blurr, Scourge, Twinferno
    -POTP Outback and Cindersaur
-Siege Battlemasters and Micromasters (all of them at somepoint), Chromia, Starscream, Shockwave
-ER Battlemasters and Micromasters (all of them at somepoint), Ironworks, Arcee,
    -Kingdom Blackarachnia and Paleotrex
-Most RiD figures, ESPECIALLY masked Windblade

Taking all these into account, the most unsellable figure I can recall seeing, always in massive quantities would be...

This thing was practically glued down. There were multiple entire pegs full of him. And yet I never once saw it marked down for clearance despite its unfavorable odds.
